. He's at the animal hospital now awaiting surgery this morning, he has a very unusual break in his left hind knee cap as they are usually transverse, his is down the patella. Our normal vet x-rayed him yesterday and have referred him to an orthopaedic surgeon as they don't have drills small enough to pin it.
Bless him, he came in crying 10 days ago and was hobbling about. Took him straight to vets and they diagnosed a cat bite and put him on antibiotics and pain killers. Took him back a week later as still hobbling about but didn't appear to be in distress as he's been climbing fences and jumping on and off bar stools .
We have cover up to 2k per illness which vet is aware of and thinks it will come in less than that. If not we'll just have to swallow. Can't get him out of my mind, he's my 4th baby
Will let you know how he gets on
That's been some cat bite hampy:o And from photos I remember Stanley being a big lad....he's taken quite a bashing:o

The heat might affect the internet TM, or more the connections into the house. They are copper and might swell and cause slightly worse connection. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Well I certainly slept last night....once we'd got rid of the bluebottle buzzing around in the bedroom.....you open the windows for air and you get the creepies in........however.......I went to bed with straight hair and woken this morning looking like I've been electrocuted in the night:rotfl:
I get your point mhoc....we never have enough of it to get used to it. A typical British Summer is two fine days and a thunderstorm:rotfl:
It's so much easier to cope with on holiday abroad....tiled floors, air conditioning, loads of ice.....I've had to remove my ice tray to get the whoopsied pork chops in.....bet they never have that to contend with in the Maldives:DTo do is to be. Rousseau

Good morning.
Mhoc's storm and lightning map is looking busy right now:

Yet again I was in the bathroom and the home phone goes so I grab a dressing gown.
I've got one of those short cotton waffle type ones which is really for the guest room, it does not cover very much, deep v neck and just at knicker length
It turns out to be OH who has left all of his phones at home
so while I am on the phone a van rolls up with a chap and the sign for machine - OMG I am barely dressed, stink to high heaven as I've still not hit the shower :rotfl:
so I have to run round to the front of the house - the chap had brought my renewed passport - very chatty man who was trying not to make eye contact as I was grasping my dignity and sign for it at the same time
so that's taken less than 2 weeks to come back to me so I must have just got the timing right, before the main school holidays - I am now legal until April 2027
so that's this morning activities, put a reminder on the calendar to renew for July 2026 and I've got to update the forthcoming personalisers - well at least it keeps me out of the sun“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

thanks for this, have to go and have a look - I check various bits of the country, ours, London, Swindon, Lakes and York and Southampton“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
