    I haven't started ironing...

It's sat there in washing basket in eye view..

Tomorrow ALD1 opens in next town & B&M too :j:j

So a trip on train will fill up the day & no ironing ;)

I'm very interested to know what happens on an Aldi opening day as there's one here due to open this summer. :D

mhoc, how did you get on at the doctors? Remember you had an appt at 2.50pm xx :)
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

also a reminder to anyone who has the Marks Sparks offer for £5 off jeans to make your order today.

They start at £15 so not too bad if you need them. Marks jeans seem to fit me nicely so when I see my size in the sale I tend to stockpile.

Collection is free to store including little Marks simply foods. This reminds me I also have to collect my scratchy dress tommorow.

I had a think about Quidco since this morning. They are offering an extra 10% when you draw down via a Marks e card and I wondered how long it actually takes to do. So as an experiment Ive just done this - I was surprised how much I had accumulated in Q from various odds and ends - there was £5 from the Groupon offer and £2 from the cream eggs etc
Ive ordered a £9.13 Marks e card which will be useful for doing online orders especially when there is a £5 sparks code.
Sadly the credit vouchers don't work for online orders

3 of our little grandchildren are herd today :D staying overnight  whilst the parents are whooping it up at a family wedding  no children allowed :(

The little one is 18 months old and he is a squealer

The other 2 ages 5 and 7 have decided they do not like fish fingers, don't like sausages and certainly don't like the very best chicken nuggets  I have it on good authority that indeed they do like this fodder.

I'm going to run away and leave Mr AJ to get on with it ................

Doc was actually very nice, not scary at all - a bit of trouble trying to open my mouth wide enough when he tried to use the wooden tongue depressor thing :o but everything else checked out fine and eye drops prescribed.
They have to go in every 2 hours - fortunately OH has taken on this onerous task because I am the very worst patient. My eyes screw up so I cant open either of them, I get a coughing fit,I fidget, I do anything not to co operate, most of it goes down my face instead of my eyes. In the midst of this is Sophie cat who rushes to my aid as her Dad is performing unspeakable torture on her mum :rotfl:

All the other myriad of miseries I just have to endure until it goes away but I am going to be taking the full range of vitamins and supplements in the meantime so its at least another 2 years before any sort of lurgy decides to set up home again :D

I do now though have a less than terrifying doctor I would be able to go back to so there is a silver lining in every situation.

    My sympathies. :(

I have never really had any children's food here for my DGC, I just do shepherd's pie, corned beef hash, beef stew or a roast dinner, and they absolutely love it, presumably because these aren't on the menu very often at their house.

When I go there, I generally have to have Turkey Dinos, McD's, or pizza. :(

    No place like home. :)

Aldi openings are big events - masses of people invade them on the first day and the car parks are mayhem :)
