Glad you are sorted out, mhoc. Hope you manage to let enough eyedrops in for them to make you better.

Aldi openings are big events - masses of people invade them on the first day and the car parks are mayhem :)

    Many discounts/freebies? :D

This one is right on the A41 and there is a huge banner proclaiming 'People of XYZ, we have something for you' and the date it opens, which seems to be a Thursday, if memory serves me correctly.

Hi emerald, I could of come with you today and we could have had a trip to Waitrose :( Usually I like to catch up with the housework on a Wednesday but OH & DD1 are both working nights and the quieter I try to be the more noise I seem to make:eek: So I just popped into town for a look round and to keep out of the way. Got the sugar for COS, I would have preferred the Caster Sugar but someone had had it all  so I had to get the granulated. Did you have a nice time in Chester :D

Not guilty Nellie I got Demerara mainly as there was none of the right one left and once I realised it only said sugar I got some more.:)

Yes Chester was ok thanks. I was tired though so didn't enjoy it as much as I should have perhaps and no real bargains or freebies to get at.

drat, wish I'd seen that before I went in

My store though has trolley loads of biscuits like rocky multi packs for 19p and trios for 10p so I got about 10 packs of these plus OH found a pack of McV choc digestives for 19p - all with May expiry dates but they wont last long in this house.
OH is a terrible biscuit snaffler but I am thinking that if this are wrapped individually then he might be able to show a bit more restrain.
The kids used to have these type of things sometimes in their lunch boxes but mostly they had fruit or yogurt or mini raison packs for snacks before any biscuits were produced.
OH is a lost cause though

Doc was actually very nice, not scary at all - a bit of trouble trying to open my mouth wide enough when he tried to use the wooden tongue depressor thing :o but everything else checked out fine and eye drops prescribed.
They have to go in every 2 hours - fortunately OH has taken on this onerous task because I am the very worst patient. My eyes screw up so I cant open either of them, I get a coughing fit,I fidget, I do anything not to co operate, most of it goes down my face instead of my eyes. In the midst of this is Sophie cat who rushes to my aid as her Dad is performing unspeakable torture on her mum :rotfl:

All the other myriad of miseries I just have to endure until it goes away but I am going to be taking the full range of vitamins and supplements in the meantime so its at least another 2 years before any sort of lurgy decides to set up home again :D

I do now though have a less than terrifying doctor I would be able to go back to so there is a silver lining in every situation.

I'm pleased you went mhoc, from what you were saying it was obvious you were in need of drops. If left the infection would have worsened and not good to the eyes.

Poor you every 2 hours, at least my doc was kind, every 6 hours mine were. I'm going back Friday, unsure if it will be drops again for me. My eyes are red rimmed and glued. Baby shampoo at the ready.

At least you now know you have a nice doctor, well done :T :T

They should do the trick if any of the solution actually goes where it should :D

Chemist says it has to go in the fridge so the next lot will be cold which will make it even more of a palaver :rotfl:

    My sympathies. :(

I have never really had any children's food here for my DGC, I just do shepherd's pie, corned beef hash, beef stew or a roast dinner, and they absolutely love it, presumably because these aren't on the menu very often at their house.

When I go there, I generally have to have Turkey Dinos, McD's, or pizza. :(

    No place like home. :)

Seren, ty thoughts exactly, shepherds pie is a novelty to them as is corned beef hash, staples in our house.

We seem to be having tuna pasta bake, God they had better eat that too late for a roast, they don't like mash either grrrrr :rotfl: :rotfl:
