DD2s last exams today....I'm feeling sick with worry. She said yesterday was horrendous. I'm praying she passes and doesn't have to come back early from Canada to resit.

I don't think I was this nervous when DD1 was giving birth...

Didn't realise they find out so quickly but by this time next week she will know and be thousands miles away for any needed hugs.

Fingers crossed for her, mums do worry, its our job.

I'm meant to be driving up later to help her pack for home. I'm still sat in my dressing gown. No washing up done and I have to clear her room of a few bits I spread out into it. :o

Get a move on then :rotfl:

Errant son had a days packing job yesterday - it was one where x number of components went into a certain sized box and then x boxes went into an outer casing and onto a pallet - no idea why but he seemed to find it interesting, I went into a coma just listening to the description of what he had to do ...
So about 6 last night he came bouncing in the door like the Duracell bunny, showered, sorted his kit out for today, eat his pasta bake, side salad and coleslaw and then set off into the night for the long drive down south....
So about 4 and a half hours later, about 11.30 he messaged up that he and the big van were parked up about 20 mins from his final destination for the night - looking at the timing I think he might have got slightly lost or the traffic was heavy or suchlike.
This morning he drove the final bit and had his breakfast in the car park.

Today he has an interview at another centre in Kent or at least on the borders - one we have high hopes for so any Elite positive thoughts would be welcome :)

    Fingers crossed xx

    You are a star :j

Please can I ask what flavours you got - I am worried about jars not being matched by Sada.

I am thinking of getting the 2 freebies from COS
    butchers choice trays
    tate and lyle golden granulated

so that's 8 with the baby food plus 15p canned rice puddings and bottled water and a few odds and sods ...

and the free pizza MOCs which I hope our little store stocks ...

Also that's helped me to decided in which direction to go in this afternoon and I've got a food bank bag to drop off :)
Just a reminder I saw on here that if they dont have the golden granualted, you can get the white granualted for 69p and as it only says sugar on the receipt, upload to cos and get £2 back :D Worked for me yesterday from a t express.

Laid in bed :o dreading the day ahead of ironing all that fabric flat..
plus I'll have to measure them & catalogue them & weigh them & find somewhere to stash them.... woe is me :rotfl:

I was looking for a basic plastic garden chair, upright, drainage hole in seat, sturdy..
Found one yesterday in Charity Shop £2.50 & it is perfect, nice wide seat for a bigger posterior :o no squeezing of thighs against arms :D
Anyway I lugged it over to Sister's shop & sat in it whilst chatting to her customers :D
Resulting in me volunteering to run the shop whilst she is incapacitated  :D

Well done Snap. On the work ahead on the fabrics :D

Well done Snap on offering to run the shop whilst sister is incapacitated. You'll do a grand job and it'll keep h out of trouble :D xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

    Morning.

Coco Pops 510g with GrownUpsGoFwee on them are 2 for £4 at Sada and £2 eacg mostly elsewhere, BUT, it matches to Morries
    2x Kellogg's Coco Pops (510g) £4.00 £2.00

    seems to be this

    https://groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/getSearchProducts.do?clearTabs=yes&isFreshSearch=true&chosenSuggestionPosition=&entry=coco+pops

    matches to own brand 2 for £2 440g :T:T:T:T

so a PAG (after fillers) of £2.20 per pair. Net 90p per pack!!

Elite culinary experts I need your opinion pretty pretty please

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/porkchorizoandbutter_90830

what I want to do its get to step 5 of putting everything together and then transfer it to the stew pot, put this into the fridge until we get back and then put the stew pot into a very slow oven for 45 mins or so - do you think this would work?

Also what liquid can I use instead of wine - I have no cider opened and no apple juice either so it might just have to be water or possibly veg stock ...

OH hates my culinary efforts but if I have everything prepared and ready to go into the oven so all he has to do is mash then he cant complain :D

Stock (any sort), Maybe a teaspoon of lemon juice, white wine vinegar etc to cut through the richness
It will work if you get it up to temp (ie a simmer) and then low oven for 45 mins, or either a hotter ovento start to get things moving or an extra 15-30 minutes
