Evening gang
well, after spending most of the morning sorting out the hacked E-Bay account we set off to get out chooks ....what a fine trio they are !!
I went to a poultry breeder at the back of beyond and although it cost a bit in fuel they are far nicer than the three times the price birds we looked at in the local farm shop.
Just one question....do you put your girls to bed ? We have an enclosed purpose built coop and run thingy with a roof and I was going to let them go in and out at will but DD1 is worried so she locked them in......she now has the job of getting them up so I wonder what the elite chicken keepers do ??? xxx
They go in as it gets dark, which is fine in the winter!! Ours are all currently in a shed because of the Avian Flu thing, Just got another 50 todayI have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:

We have spent the last 2 days in the South of France.....I knew when we had arrived in the South of France as they started talking in French on the radio in our vehicle....I kid you not. Cycled over to Swanage today......weather could not have been better. Thanks to aau for the O2 easter egg info....went to Castlepoint and got the 2 eggs...had to pay £2, which now I think about it is weird, as they were 2 for £5, so it should have cost us £1. I think I was being distracted as I was busy looking around for a lady wearing tiny shoes...but didnt see anyone wearing tiny shoes. I have uploaded the Thorntons receipt to tcb....so will see if they pay out.
Oh sorry but I got my egg in Poole today.
If you go up to Durlston Castle and walk round the cliff top your phone changes to French network too. :rotfl:
Big thanks to austin. :T
No receipt for me though as I couldn't get my code to show the SA said just have it as the signal is not good in here today. :eek:0 -

Only 2 days...back home to the Garden of England tomorrow. We had 2 nights in the Village hotel....I think it was someone on the Elite thread that posted about the Village hotel room sale...so £25 a night...its been lovely.
Of course it's been fabulous weather in the South of France hasn't it.
I'm very impressed if you cycled B'mth to Swanage, not something I think I could manage these days  Did you go across on the ferry at Sandbanks?
Fantastic to get a break for that price. :money:0 -
Hi TM & bubbs I'm feeling ok thanks.
All being well back to work tomorrow as it will be 48 hours since last symptoms in morning. Just a bit worried about something they found on Saturday and having to have an internal ultra sound ???? I think she said. Also more blood tests on weds and I'm a baby lol when it comes to needles. At least they are being really thorough xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -

Fantastic to get a break for that price. :money:When we got to Swanage we were going to the cafe on the front for a coffee, then I remembered we had both got the greggs app on our phones, so a quick check and we see there was on round the corner...so popped in there for mocha and muffin...(thanks to braveheart)

Yes we cycled Bournemouth to Swanage....few minutes rest on the ferry at Sandbanks. The cycle is harder going than coming back, as there are more hills on the way there. When we got off the ferry, three cyclists went speeding past us on their road bikes...DH and I carried on, on our mountain bikes. At the first hill, the same cyclist were off their bikes pushing up the hill...DH and I went cycling past....I did smile to myself, as we were double their age

Mr TS has done the ride from home across the ferry to get to the manor (caravan) before now, yes those hills are a struggle. Well done. He tends to go through Wareham now and then he rides from there to Swanage when we go and I drive the car with the girls.
I really must get the greggs app...0 -
Thank you, lovely ladies for the chook info
Although I had chickens as a child the brain is a bit foggy these days !!
They did indeed put themselves to bed on their own and it was such a funny sight as they didn't know where to go so they kept falling off the ramp in fright when they got to the entrance and found it was dark, lol.... I can see which one is the bossalready as she leads the other two, OH calls her red but I don't know if that is her forever name.
I looked at auto openers for the door but at about £80 a pop DD1 will have to do it, lol ...nite nite all, sweet eggy dreams xxxxxx0
