Just getting a c and c from Asda, there are carrots, parsnips and trimmed leeks with big 20p signs up, gaps for 2 other things as well, this must be as others have at 29p

Your post just reminded me bubbs, courgettes in Aldi yesterday morning, pack of 3, 29p. Not long ago there was a shortage and they had none for weeks, then they were expensive, now they are nearly giving them away :)

Also big bags of potatoes, British Whites 2.5kg at 29p and cauliflowers at 29p, along with the carrots, parsnips and leeks at 29p

Free £4 Thornton's Easter Egg on 02 from Thornton's shop.

    Hth

    Anon

Thanks for this, they must have updated the app since I checked first thing this morning.
I am wondering if this includes Thorntons inside Hallmarks - when the free choc bags were on the app we went to our local and they seemed to know about the offer so we got our freebie from there.

I wonder if its worth ringing the shop ....

Oh is supposed to be collecting a Thorntons egg from work - there was some sort of vague rumour the company were dishing out eggs last week, I wondrr if a rabbit will deliver them :rotfl:

Morning all - one minite its bright sunshine and the next its clouded over so I have no idea what attire is suitable for today.
its also bitterly cold outside so it will be gardening in woolies later

Hope everyone is coping well and looking forward to a good calm week with no or very little dramas ....

morning, lovely start to the week with drama here as I had my ebay account hacked overnight.
Ebay contacted me but failed to cancel all of the listings plus there are loads of seller fees still there.
I had to call them to sort it so hopefully they didnt get anything else like paypal or my email account....or even worse my bank details ....we will have to wait and see :(

    Good morning all...

Just quickly updating on the toiletries challenge....

Uninspiring week as 0 in and 2 out
a full sized shampoo and a sample sachet shampoo.....thats all.

Have A lovely day...Iorning awaits for me as I spent most of the weekend ignoring the inside of the house preferring to spend it in the garden!

I finished a full sized night cream from a famous shop last week which I was sent to test out. I looked it up it was February 2016 so allowing for holidays its lasted 10 months (big glass jar so it never went away with us) Shop price was £25 so quite good value then working out at £2.50 a month.
When it arrived it felt like I'd won a comp prize - I usually end up testing things that are Sada cheap and cheerfuls

Of course now I am emotionally attached to it so its still here inside its original cardboard box.

Worst still when I went through my stash I only had one other night cream and it was a bit dubious so that went out instead and now I am using a day cream as a night cream.

At the same time I went in search of cotton wool and found the last pack but a few more baby toiletries went into the food bank trolley.

Also the hand cream I was using ran out sadly, one that really seems to work but Ive got masses of sample locctaine tubes to work through so those will have to do for now.

So very slow progress but you just have to console yourself and think that by Christmas there will be a significant difference in stash levels

    Morning folks

Been busy editing the photos the last couple of days. Started on my Milky Way images yesterday and having trouble with colour balance, it's either got a slight red or a slight green cast due to airglow! Its driving me potty trying to hit the sweet spot :o

Is that the push numbers together game? Think my highest score on that was just over 10,000 :D It's a time long since i've played it.

It's a knock off version on Dorset Cereals. Still addictive though! :D

    oh that is awful.
I had my account hacked once and it was the day we took Eldest child up to uni for the first time ...
Ive now got separate usernames, passwords and use different email addresses for both paypal and ebay - I think you are supposed to change passwords on a regular basis though.

And lots of companies only offer part time contracts too, less responsibility for them in the way of holidays etc. :(

The way I see it is the only way youngsters can afford to step on the ladder is if they are in full time employment.

The number of hoops they need to jump through is ridiculous - 2 full time jobs, good employment record, their current accounts are assessed for their spending patterns, massive deposits ...

Good timing as well as Errant son has almost eaten up the stash of spicy pepperami sticks that no one else wanted

These were the ones I got months back even though I had no idea what I was going to do with them ...
