    rough recipe for about 6

fry 2 chopped onions and 2 cloves finely chopped garlic, add 2 chopped carrots and handful of peas, cook for further 2 min, then add 125g red lentils, tin chop tomatoes, spoonful tomato puree, 3/4 pint veg salt and pepper. if like add red wine but not needed, cook for about 35min until lentils and veg are soft, add more stock if to dry. taste for seasoning,
cook and mash sweet potatoes season to taste assemble like normal shepherds pie and brown in oven.

you can add any herbs or a bit of chilli anything you like if you want to jazz it up as this is the basic recipe.

if you want asimple pudd buy justrol pastry its vegan and make apple or any fruit pie , xx

Another way using Rhos recipe instead of mashing the sweet potatoes, cut them into thin slices and layer them for a lasagne, I use any lentils I have in red, green or puy

also as a side issue because of this massive down sizing mission Ive been on for, well about 8 months now on and off, eldest child's bedroom has been targeted since Christmas - bookcase of odds and sods re homed, various clothing removed from wall rail behind the door, organiser hanger for tights, scarves etc decluttered and re homed, top of the wardrobe reorganised etc -( wardrobes, big chest of winter clothing to sort and the toiletry stash under the bed still to do yet but we are getting there and at least these are less visible)
So yesterday basically the room was neat, tidy, clean and no obvious messiness so all that was needed was to change the bed - such a massive time saver .

I also noticed that all of this decluttering has made me hyper aware of random things out of place and lying around. Whilst hand washing I noticed a bar of baby soap still in its wrapper on the toiletry rack, probably been there for years - now in the food bank bag.
Also we stayed in a lovely hotel a few years ago just before Christmas and the hotels Christmas brochure came home with us and has sat on the sideboard ever since. No one has looked at it since and its just sat there unnoticed until I happened to walk by yesterday - now in the recycling basket.
The mantelpiece was starting to get overflow from Ohs man corner of the living room so it was all scooped back up onto his glass cabinet.

I am building up to trying to get OH to tackle his corner of the living room this weekend - Ive no idea what my tactics are going to be as he is stubbornly non co- operative and takes mortal offence at any efforts to tidy him up. He has made various futile attempts to clean and clear before at least three times but it all just comes back again, mainly because he picks odd bits off the top but does not actually pull all and sundry and everything out and properly clean, clear and decimate - the old fashioned bottoming out is the only thing that really works in the long run

Also Oh has taken to storing his medicine stash in his glass cabinet which is right next to his sofa. I am finding this really difficult on an emotional level as my Dad used to store his medicine stash in the dining room sideboard :(
Oh really needs a container of some sort for his stash but I don't know what - not a shoe box, something less visible, less obvious ...
Might see if there are zip round insulated lunch packs still in the kitchen ....

This is a very hard one - eldest child likes the citrus gins so they must be very on trend now if one of gifts is for someone very fashionable.

otherwise Ive seen gin in very fancy bottles and pink gin - good for very feminine people

There is a gin made on a very small scale in Macclesfield, if you can find this its highly recommended - for the life of me I cant think what its called now but the bottle is so decorative people keep them to use as vases when empty

We went to see the Lakes Distillery 2 years ago, really interesting place with a fabulous afternoon tea afterwards (groupon deal) but since then Ive seen their gin in Morrisons so its now main stream - you really want to get gins that are not available in supermarkets, something a bit more niche market

This has not been very helpful :D

If not subbed they cost you 90p after apg. Unless you return/refuse them because they are not as described and you still get the apg (so £4.10 profit each)

Just ask them to show you where the supposed shower holder is

Great to hear a catalogue of wonderfulness rather than your normal disasters mhoc :T:T:j:j

this is very true - I am concentrating on the wonderfulness and loveliness around me and relishing it and frantically counting my blessings :j

(The morass of misery and awfulness underneath I am ignoring totally - it can all wait as I cant deal with any if it, its all out of my control anyway and beyond my sphere of influence ....)
