    good morning lovely people

    I was slightly AWOL yesterday.

I knew eldest son was flying back into Manchester late Thursday afternoon and then getting the train here to collect his car.
But due to a calender mis function - its all Siri s fault :) I'd not realised Thursday was also the day for eldest child to be at Media City

Instead of heading north after her conference yesterday the plan was that she came here overnight - another birthday surprise for her Dad.

So firstly I had to convince Dad to do mince and tatties as eldest son would take a bowl home with him.

Then eldest child rang home after she got to Piccadilly and said to her Dad, "Can you collect me from the station please'
'yes no problem. Wait a minute, hold on, what station? whereabouts are you?'
Stockport, due home in half an hour :rotfl:
Between us we have surprised the life out of Oh over the last couple of weeks I am surprised that he still trusts any of us :rotfl:

Eldest son in the meantime was seated near the exit in his plane so as soon as he landed he did a very fast walk, beating 3 plane loads of people and got through Manchester airport in the fastest time ever.

So when dad went to the station to collect eldest child her train was only 15 mins ahead of eldest sons train - very neat.

then for about an hour last night I had eldest child and eldest son both home :j - cant remember when this last happened but it might have been Christmas Day 2015 - various meetings up in various locations around the country but Ive never had these 2 home together at the same time :)

Eldest son has a very complicated schedule this weekend so he could not stay long before having to head back home but eldest child was home last night :D - mince and tatties and her bedroom for the night - she left home 10 years ago but its still her bedroom :)

And Dad took her back to the station this morning - she is working in the northern office today, then there is more dress fittings this weekend and it was BFs 30th during the week so various family things going in ... then another work week before wedding week :D

That sounds perfect. Do you have a recipe please?

    rough recipe for about 6

fry 2 chopped onions and 2 cloves finely chopped garlic, add 2 chopped carrots and handful of peas, cook for further 2 min, then add 125g red lentils, tin chop tomatoes, spoonful tomato puree, 3/4 pint veg salt and pepper. if like add red wine but not needed, cook for about 35min until lentils and veg are soft, add more stock if to dry. taste for seasoning,
cook and mash sweet potatoes season to taste assemble like normal shepherds pie and brown in oven.

you can add any herbs or a bit of chilli anything you like if you want to jazz it up as this is the basic recipe.

if you want asimple pudd buy justrol pastry its vegan and make apple or any fruit pie , xx
