Just had a text from DS4. It looks as though he is definitely fleeing the nest and very soon. He and DGF looked at two flats, they preferred the 2 bedroomed which is going to cost them a little more than the first place they viewed.
Their references and credit checks are all fine, he has to go see the agent to sort out a moving in date
OMG  what am I going to do next? Just me and DH rattling around in a four bed house. It's going to be so quiet, all crockery, glasses and cutlery will be in their rightful places :rotfl: :rotfl:
If you fancy having a lodger, maybe one just for weekdays who goes home at weekends you can earn £7500 with no tax implications

The empty nest is a most terrifying place, we are still not fully adjusted to it. They tend to keep bouncing back and using the place as a free bed and breakfast place - when eldest son and his GF went Brum we were quite depressed as we thought we would rarely see them - instead the opposite is true, we see them more now than when GF was based in Maccesfiled.
(I would have offered eldest son and GF as your new lodgers when they eventually move to east Anglia but they would be far more annoying and demanding than any of your own offspring so I wont inflict them on youLOL )

He has started spending more time at mine ( ours actually ) and comes for t a bit more. Think he is getting used to it. I have found lots of things in DD'S room that have made me cry ( she had a bad time with her Dads drinking) but rather than upset her any thing written down I have shredded ( is that wrong of me ?).
Man coming tommorow to talk about replacing the bathroom and updating the kitchen for me as my finances will not be so strained when he is back and kitchen was done over 30 years ago and bathroom never and we have been there 35 years!!
I don't know if it is just local, but heard on radio optiplan are offering a free smeg kettle and toaster if you have a free design consultation, doesn't say anything about buying a kitchen.

I am in the process of booking an appointment, no intention of changing kitchen yet though ......What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

It's ages since I've done a CC LANGO, I didn't realise they had brought in a 28 day clause  but won't the ago be licked to your account anyway so the 28 days won't matter and then claim in April. Or maybe I don't get this
. xx
Actually, I claimed £59 on 1 Mar. this shop will take me to the limit. Could I not do another shop next week then just claim that 1 Apr?
Think i'm confusing myself lolI Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
4 piles actually
one to keep
one too far gone that needs to go into a cloth collection
one quite nice and might be worth ebaying
one not worth ebaying but good enough for the charity shop
OK 4 piles, but I still struggle after a short space of time. I think I need to be sort of tougher? not so emotionally tied to things. Do I really need to keep the belly button clips from when my four boys were born

There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
