    Can I ask a favour?

DD is eating loads of protein at the moment. She likes the little packs of cooked chicken pieces which are so expensive. It'll be cheaper for me to buy whole chickens, cook then and spice up if necessary. I know some compare A v S I think.

If anyone sees a favourable comparison would you please let me know...thanks

I like hitting Lidl at the right time, a nice bake in the bag garlic chicken for £2.79 at 1.65 kilo (30% off normal price), they are in reduced in ours fairly regularly.

Heron stock the chicken breast slices at £1 a pack. Plain, sweet chilli and tikka.
Not sure of origin but DS doesn't complain and he's fussy.

    Evening peeps.

Gutted, just discovered that my free flea bay listings have reverted back to 20 a month instead of 100 per day!

    I find these good value

    Iceland

The Butcher's Market Class 'A' Fresh Small Whole Chicken 1.1Kg
if you sort them some weigh quite a bit more than stated

    HRT xxxx

    Iceland's chickens are nice too.

In MS today I noticed some chickens take longer to cook than others - all allegedly weigh the same according to the packaging, just the cooking times on the front vary. So I assume the longer the time, the heavier the chicken.

Ditto Asda thick bacon - if you feel the weight in your hand, there's noticeable differences. Checked the weight at home once and there was 40g more in one pack than stated.
