Just sat waiting for a phone call from the hospital. So I will post while I can:)

He's still there from 8.30 this morning. The doctors decided early that he would need an operation but couldn't do anything until the swelling went down. He was due to go down(apologies:D) at 2.45 but everything must be running late. I called in straight after work to be told that he was still in theatre but should be ready to come home in a few hours.

    I have butterflies:o

If I disappear I WILL return later for some birthday cake.

Hope the birthday girls are putting on a buffet...it's save me cooking:)

Hope Mr TM is ok and recovers well xx

  • If I have £30 e vouchers, buy 10 madam guillotine's (£50) and £10 fillers, so spend of £60, £30 vouchers and £30 debit card. What if no guillotines? would I get £20 vouchers back (£10 taken for fill.ers) and £30 debit card payment not taken, AND an APG for £41?

Confusing I know, but Should only be charged £10, just unsure with evouchers involved in payment

as far as I remember voucher money is not refunded
maybe it would be better to spend £50 in cash for razors and voucher money for fillers
or a separate voucher shop for normal shopping
or perhaps it would be better to accept the subs if paid for with vouchers
not sure if i'm 100% right on this

  • If there are any SD beauty card holders on here, check your emails! I just received one telling me I can get a bottle of own brand hair spray when I show my card. That'll do nicely for my Christmas hampers :)

Oh Sue, hope it doesn't put you off wombling!

You've just reminded me of my embarassing (but not nearly as embarassing as yours) episode yesterday.
Had a voucher to get a subway free if bought a subway and a dispensed drink, As DH and DD1 were away for the weekend I decided to treat DD2 and myself.

So ordered the subs and was given a cup for the drink. Found the machine but only button on it said ice and I didn't want ice, So tried moving my cup about but nothing happened. A group of teenage lads were sitting there watching and told me to press the button. "But I don't want ice" I said. "Oh then you have to use the machine next to that one" - I hadn't noticed another machine.

So moved over and put my cup near the spout. "No, they chorused, "you have to push the button that says 'Pour'" Did that, got a little trickle in my cup. "No", they called "You have to carry on pressing it"

Finally got my cup of coke, thanked them very much and left. Bet they had a great laugh afterwards!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Good job DD2 wasn't with me - she would have died of embarrassment!

    Sub was lovely though :)

    :rotfl::rotfl:

Never mind glitching....it's a miracle us lot can even get a shop in:rotfl:
