The Welsh Pantry 9 pack Corned Beef Pasties (405g) had also - according to SELs - gone up from £1 to £1.50 on 1st February. The little beggars. I assume mainly or exclusively confined to Welsh stores as indeed I had one store myself. I will delete from the list (although what remains is nowhere up-to-date at all).

I am also not now bothering to add the 12 Filo & Tempura Prawns (138g) at £1 RTC, another frozen party Christmas-type item, to the list as, due to the Pigs in Blankets possibly going back up, this may all be OOD by now.

Does anyone have any knowledge of how ss benefits are affected if someone is awarded compensation for an accident ? The company concerned has taken responsibility for re-imbursing the past 3 years benefits which were paid while the claim was being processed and then my son will receive compensation directly. However there is no immediate prospect of him going back into employment as the works injury is no better and without major surgery its not likely to improve so he will remain registered disabled - advice on whether he will still be able to claim benefits is all a bit vague. The payout is not enormous but it is enough to ease his situation if he still gets benefits but if the benefits are stopped and he is expected to live on his compensation then he and his family will be much worse off than they are now ! There was a suggestion that the payout could be held in trust and that he could just draw a bit out now and then.

I wondered if anyone had any experience of a similar situation.

Far as I know PiP and ESA Support group are not means tested, but the rest are. But the rules keep changing so like bubbs said best to head over to the benefit pages. :)
