    £10 - 10% = £1 eBay fee.
    - 3.5% +20p = 55p PayPal fee
    - postal cost, I normally send Signed for at £3.95.
    - packaging my bags cost 13p each normally.
So it would cost me £5.63 if I sold something for £10. :(

    Hth.
    Evening peeps.
No chocolate for me today.....being good.

You forgot 35p listing fee. :(

    Evening peeps. :)

As you say I think it is all above board but I will ask more questions.

    And not be so trusting.

I will ask him that we are not the main driver, just 2nd and 3rd and that he is the principal driver- I don't think he would be that stupid.

Yes it does seem to be a lot of information but I suppose they have to be strict.
he is 25 this month so his premiums drop a bit anyway so why didn't he wait until March - this also makes me mad.

He had a perfectly serviceable car which we looked after for the time he was out of the country. Then he came back, got his new job, new place and sold the car, didn't bother telling us. I had paid his car insurance for him even so he had nothing to worry about. He had 2 years no claims but he changed to vans so now he has had to start again.

Yes I will ask for the name of the insurance company and the quote number, not sure if they will speak to me because of data protection but, as you say for my own peace of mind I do need to know this. Also if errant son refuses to give this info I do have cause for concern.

Regarding accidents, well he was driving last weekend so if anything has happened its happened this week. He did have a minor prang a few years back, not an insurance incident but he didn't even bother to tell us at the time.

I don't think any fraud is going on but I will still ask questions, probably get ignored again.

Yup, VERY likely he is being a normal grown up child and using you when he needs something :rotfl:
Nothing the matter with asking him details, shows him you are not a walkover. Just be careful if he asks if you like lillies, what religion you are, your measurements, what type of wood finish you like and your opinions on cremation vs burial. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My dad keeps telling me when I ask if he would like anything new, "Nah, I will be dead before I get the full use of it"

We also have an errant child who only phones when something needs sorting. We also have an admiral multi-car policy. We are also going to be empty nesters soon, the "baby" only arrived home from uni in September, got a graduate job in December and him and GF are looking to rent a flat together shortly.

Anyone know what happens to a multi-car policy when one car moves out?
Best to phone up insurance company with a "what if" question.
Off the top of my head, isn't the policy for "The Household"?
Phone and ask, the only stupid question is the one not asked

Yes, he has been like this for years, tells us nothing whatsoever.

Technically we don't know where he lives but he sent me a scan of the letter he had from the insurance company he had in October with the address at the top.
We don't know what his day to day life it like or what he does with his weekends apart from the odd facebook selfies
We don't know how the new job is going. We only knew that they had extended his probationary period as a letter came from works HQ - not told HQ even about his new address so all they had was the address he had when he went for interviews.
We only know he had sold the car because Admiral refunded the premiums and we only knew he had changed the van again because of a FB photo.
    virtually nothing.
