Yup, VERY likely he is being a normal grown up child and using you when he needs something :rotfl:
Nothing the matter with asking him details, shows him you are not a walkover. Just be careful if he asks if you like lillies, what religion you are, your measurements, what type of wood finish you like and your opinions on cremation vs burial. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My dad keeps telling me when I ask if he would like anything new, "Nah, I will be dead before I get the full use of it"

    Charming

I work for a Van hire co and when people hire vans we see their driving licence and ask for their NI number. Its a double check to see if they are who they say they are. So possibly thats why he needs it.

That seems strange as you have no way in checking if their NI number is correct. I believe not even police can check an NI number without contacting social security dept. But I expect it is a deterrent people probably show NI card ( my god one thing I haven't lost) or wage slip/ benefits letter as proof so if name matched licence I presume they are good to go.

    A question

If you buy something and use your Boots points for it but then later return the item I assume your points are returned to your account - yes?
Do the points have a new expiry date or do they revert to the original expiry date?

-a little known fact that Boots points have an expiry date but I cant think what it is - 18 months maybe???

Superdrug points also have an expiry date but they send you reminders if any of your points get too close to the date. And Superdrug points seem to be easier to spend, easier to find reduced to clear items and there is always loo paper :rotfl:

Yes, he has been like this for years, tells us nothing whatsoever.

Technically we don't know where he lives but he sent me a scan of the letter he had from the insurance company he had in October with the address at the top.
We don't know what his day to day life it like or what he does with his weekends apart from the odd facebook selfies
We don't know how the new job is going. We only knew that they had extended his probationary period as a letter came from works HQ - not told HQ even about his new address so all they had was the address he had when he went for interviews.
We only know he had sold the car because Admiral refunded the premiums and we only knew he had changed the van again because of a FB photo.
    virtually nothing.

He seems a funny one mhoc. I wouldn't like that.

Noticed the fare from Chester to Liverpool had gone up when I went to book through rsh this morning . Would have cost me £8.80:eek: but half that really if I'd have used Tesco clubcard vouchers . So at £4.40 isn t a good use of rsh prices for this anymore. I bought a saver ticket which enables travel all over merseyside from Chester for £5.10:) hence me calling off at Birkenhead.

I'm tempted to book my tickets to Scotland but as it's 2 months away things can change and I don't want to lose the £60 odd it s costing me. Don't know how much it is to be able to cancel should the need arise.

RoboForm everywhere is useful - its a password management system, saves everything to my stick and I can access on the main computer, phone and ipad
The initial version is free but I have the paid for version - with doing comps I have passwords for hundreds of different places. I don't do this though with the banking passwords.

It drives me bats when you update an app and they then sign you out so you have to sign in again, COS want me to update so I think that is why I was signed out today

    https://www.roboform.com/everywhere

I only have 2 MOCs to use up - 2 single MOCs. In the olden days I used to go around with 3 mini concertina folders - one for Mr T and 2 mixed ones, each MOC separate in date and type order ... Sadly now its just clear pencil cases with various shopping lists, one for Sainsbobs, Mr T, Morribobs, Marks etc

    Week ahead planning
Photo receipts for the day and checking how much I am short or need DAILY.
Ensure all the Apps on my phone are up to date
Put my app passwords onto Google Keep as every so often they sign out.
Start checking cashback apps every morning to stay up to date.
Check app freebies and see where they are cheapest as APG & BG may be an
    option for a wee profit.
Have my MOCs holder with me, I use a bus/train ticket folder that has 3
sections and is credit card sized, everything neatly folded.
Any H20 offers saved to my pryorities, I know that does not reserve them, but
it saves having to search for them.
Have my 3 bags for life all folded up into wee packages held tight with lackity bands.
    Notepad/pens/propeller pencils.
Copy of Caf! Nerd email to show staff if required.
All Loyalty Cards. “Just In Case”
Refresh mantras I must ask for receipts In shops always split shopping.
Look for wombles at all times. Ignore silly muggles.
Don’t fart in lifts like Inspector Clouseau and thinking it funny.
    STOP saying mantras aloud!

Every morning go buy breakfast via self serve, one bananananana, one clemantine (humming “Oh my darling, Clemantine”), a few grapes, all bought seperately for RECEIPTS. Try to nonchalantly use a till that has a leftover receipt on it.

    Monday
Check what H2O are doing to replace Mr Shoes deal.
Plan to look through Mr Shoes for reduction bargains for shampoo points spending.
Get Fwee coughee and side from El Colonel.

    Tuesday
Take my travel mugs and holders for Caf! Nerdo freebies, remembering to take sugar sachets/napkins/stirrers, they there for taking. (Remembering experience of trying to replace Puppy roll with napkins NOT A GOOD IDEA) napkins fine for snotty nose.
    Repeat some of Mondays actions.

    Wednesday
See if Nerd 2 for 1 is on again, taking mugs “JIC”

    Rest of week
Continue checking apps etc, updating my lists

And of course, keeping an eye out for birdie flocks to post on thread.

I wondered if you could have the multi-car at different addresses. As stupid as it sounds, DS2's car was cheaper to insure with me agreeing to put mine on from renewal (and including the renewal on mine) than it was for him to insure on his own. So him moving out would mean they would ask for money to take me off the policy rather than give a refund!

I think with Admiral you don't all have to share the same address.

The way Admiral works is odd sometimes. One year someone got a new car late in the year so it was cheaper for him to have a new policy and we joined him on the multi car policy rather than the other way around.
And one of ours got a full years no claim even though technically they had only had a car for 9 months

Hi M, if DS needs this info just for Insurance purposes it does seem a little excessive. DH & I have been named drivers on all three of our children's policies but have never had to supply driving licence numbers and certainly not NI numbers. It was cheaper for them to put us on as named drivers for the first couple of years but after that they took us off again as once they started to build up their no claims bonus it was costing them more to have us on the policies.
Is it possible that DS is just renewing his licence? My DS's licence needed renewing last week and that did ask for his NI number to confirm ID but that would not explain why he needed your NI numbers.
I am sure all will become clear eventually.

hello our son has myself and my husband as named drivers and the insurance company wanted our driving licence numbers to check our licences were clean and the rough dates when we passed our driving licences . This was last year when he got his insurance. I think they cross reference a lot of information now to try and prevent insurance fraud.
