Hope I'm ok posting this, if not somebody shout and I'll remove
Been lurking for a while again... If any of you young ladies born in the 50s and interested what's going on re pensions, there are a few groups on FB eg 50s WAGS. 63 is the new 60, waspi voice. I know there is a march in London on 21/2 but if you can't get there the are asking peeps to write to their MP

I am so depressed about the entire pension thing ... so much money I will never see ...

And I am certain that the age will increase again at least once so I don't expect to see a state pension until 68 or even 69.

Also annoyed that because of the area I live in I wont get a free bus pass yet a few miles down the road across the border into wales they get them at 60 :(

Not for me TS....But, It keeps logging me out when I'm innactive...Never used to do it....Could stay logged in all day...:D

Just changed my browser to Chrome and it seems fine now.

Can't see it's anything to do with that McAfee thing I changed the other night but it did start after that.

I have noticed that when you go to Manage your version of MSE now there are only 2 options, old or new. The old one you used to be able to pick stretchy, old masthead etc. so maybe something has changed for MSE. Every other site seems ok although I don't post elsewhere. :rotfl:

HG glad you got your sipp sorted.....I agree you do need to read and read again. Have you done your state pension forecast?...if you are not going to get the full pension, the class 2 voluntary nics, might be relevant to you.

I rang Virgin Money to ask some questions regarding pensions but it seems theirs is a stocks and shared pension and not a cash SIPP so its not what I need.
I just want to put my £2800 in, get my £700 tax relief and then leave it there with that exact amount in until the next crisis come along. Or the next tax year when I can do the same again.
So I've got brave and wandered over to the pension thread - just have to hope their is a kind sole over there with endless and boundless patience who will adopt me :D.

No probs with scrolling but the thanks buttons are a bit intermittent and yesterday I had to prove I was not a robot twice...

I have been wasting far too much of my life trying to sort out laptop recently. And yet my iphone that I have never ever done any updates on works perfectly and often a lot faster than the laptop. Only problem is my eyes can't cope with the small screen. :o

Thought I would try the new version of MSE with IE to see what happens when I post.

Ok so that doesn't mind if I go to last post of thread I can scroll but not after I have posted!!

Although I can post again as there is the quick reply option in view.

As you can see I can get a little obsessed about these things...

Looked at rightmove and its gone.

Looked at phone text from DD they didn't get it higher offer accepted. :(

Thats a real shame Tiny....I hate the whole sealed bids best offer thing...it just causes panic offering which then potentially leads to overpaying.

Whoever has bid more must be confident if they are getting a mortgage that the valuation of the property will match the amount they wish to borrow...or they already have a very healthy deposit!...I've seen a few sales fall through this way in the past few months....and indeed been approached back by the estate agent to see if our offer of £x is still valid.

We have bought 3 properties in the last 4 years and its amazing just how quickly the prices are rising....and even making an asking price offer doesn't guarantee you getting the property.
I must admit we have walked away twice when the vendors wanted counter offers and in hindsight its the best thing to do.

Something will come up for them and suddenly it will all be worth it x

I made my first sale last weekend, despite the 8 watchers I only got one bid but at least it was a sale.
I've not done my excel chart yet to see if I've made any real profit but mainly its one item gone.

I suppose it depends on what you are selling but I've paid the upgrade fee for selling on US and cananda ebay. The dress went to Australia and I got the postage right :T

Possibly for UK sales its just simpler to include post and packaging I am thinking - I know its something I look for.

    :j:j Well done. :j

If you look in your account section of ebay it will show you the FVF for every item sold.

And PayPal will show you what it took for the transaction.

I mostly only sell what is hanging around the place unworn or unloved, but it's all had to be paid for in the first place so if I count the sunk cost, it generally comes out at a loss I guess.
