I remember cross country meant running home and persuading Mum to drop me back at school half an hour later. I got caught because I was one of the first back and the teacher found that unbelievable.

The way we did cross country....... disappear into the trees to have a crafty fag or two :whistle::rotfl::rotfl: Then wait for the usual leaders to go by on there return and then plod on behind :D
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

    Evening all

Eldest son is being an idiot again, honestly he was not brought up this way.
Part of army training is to be self reliant and responsible for their own kit but even that seems to have fallen by the wayside.
He has just rung up as he is outside the flat.
    He has no keys.
Both sets of keys are back at base.
GF is away on a works trip and not due back until Saturday.
So he is now en route here instead. There will also be some late night cooking as he has not had anything to eat.
I suggested that tommorow he can go and collect his keys but he said there is no point going all the way back to base
So instead he is going to mope around here, getting under food and demanding food.
Hopefully his mate will finish work at lunch time on Friday so they can then go and play car fixing and mending and washing and polishing.
Then on Saturday he will drive back to the flat when GF gets home.
This is not the first time eldest son has had issues with keys -apart from keys he also has had issues with trainers, passes, phones, and other valuables and neccessities, always leaving them in the wrong places and having to drive all the way back to retrieve the lost items ...
    Deep sigh.
Ive even posted something to the flat this afternoon thinking that we would not see them for a few weeks

At least there is a pork joint in the freezer

Not been able to stay on top of thread, so bare ;) with me if I repeat what’s already posted.

O2 thread is speculating changes coming, IMHO chinese whispers, I would wait and see.

Booger King App has a renewed offer, App only. 9 chicken no-gets for 99p
It states not combined with other offers, but two separate transactions would solve that. Combine with the 50p fries, a cheap snack/lunch for £1.49, take your own drink or get cheap juice from Poundland etc.

o2 - well whatever is going to happen its going to be bad news
