I may be in the minority here but I think its all a bit wrong, its not that long ago and as you say the girl is only 18 . can you imagine going into college or work and everyone gossiping about it . not knowing its your old life . how must she feel. Even though she is not really in it , I feel its her story to tell when and if she feels the time is right. Not the minute she is 18 a TV company to drag it all up for her :( .

I agree entirely, and it's not just TV, it's in the press write-ups beforehand and in the reviews afterwards, as well as in the TV mags and no doubt the women's magazines will feature aspects of it at some point. As well as online.

When I first saw it in an online feature, I read it twice looking to see if consent was mentioned, and it wasn't.

Because her boss said he wasn't paying it but the benefit agency says he has too, meanwhile nobody does.

Don't let that one go Di.....get into CAB and see what they advise....she needs to get what she's entitled to.
They've had can absolute nightmare, they were without heating forvtwo weeks and now theyve had a new boiler fitted but its faulty so there's water coming through the ceiling the landlord and letting agency are hopeless. Its such a shame because its a lovely house in a lovely area but i think they will look to move they just don't need the stress of it all

Not what she needs when she's having a baby:o sorry to hear this Di. :o

Many years ago she opened a retail park close to us. It was a freezing cold day and they had a piano set up for her to play.....in the open air.
She looked so glamorous in an evening dress and a little fur jacket.
At the end she was presented with a pair of Adidas Sambas by one of the shops:o:eek:

I guess you are in the majority rhos not the minority....but nevertheless I watched it. :o

Radio 4 interviewed someone from the programme (I think it was a producer) this week. They said that the focus was the community spirit, not Shannon.

I think I might have heard some of this and felt it was disingenuous ...for without Shannon there wasn't a story. Plus if they really felt this way, they could have left out the little framed photographs which the camera kept straying to. They bore a remarkable resemblance to her as a child.
And her mother too....clearly with some learning difficulties/ mental health issues poked fun at....at times:o

Anyway I watched it but couldn't help feeling a bit voyeuristic:o

Thanks, I've found it at this link now. The A product is on msm therefore but I was confused as it's under a different name - looks like it's the Gastro Jumbo Scampi (a.com has picture for that).
