Went to get the boots magazine yesterday and they would only let me take one and scanned my boots card. Would I be able to get more if I go into another boots.
    tia :)

I haven't dared try picking up 10 at a time! But have been using Mum's card and collecting two mags per shop. Yesterday I did this and then bought some shampoo. I asked the SA if I could have another mag and she was fine about it. So I got another per transaction. So I have rather a lot of them now. Get as many as your Boots lets you have and if it is a large one, try on different tills.

I'm going to donate some to the food bank and also probably buy some Pantene which is reduced to £2 so in effect it'll be £1 a bottle. I need some 2in1 shampoo as my whole stash contains none now!

We are exactly half way through ours.

I had to cut a bit of mould off yesterday :rotfl:

I grated mine and froze it. I'm planning to cook with it.

Savvy i have to say if its 30, i go 30, ifs its 40 i go 40 etc;)

Really? I don't believe anyone that tells me that they do:rotfl:. Actually, I can do 33 in a 30 and 44 in a 40 as that's the 10% allowance in this unclear society that almost never says what it means. Even though 31 is still speeding, an exemption appears to have been grafted onto the law. I have no idea about that road in Warrington where it claims "40 means 40":rotfl:. I think I did a maximum of 40 just to be on the safe side, thus restricting my conduct even more than should have been with the extra-legal exemption. In fact I would hope that you were not always doing 40 in a 40 mph zone (that is where 40 mph is the speed limit applicable to your vehicle) as sometimes weather conditions etc. may make it unsafe to travel at the speed limit and you should not be travelling that fast. Just because it says 30 doesn't mean you do 30 and just because it says 40... etc. I think that is what you meant though.

I think that "40 means 40" is there because merely putting up a 40 sign is ineffective for the vast majority of people and they need it reinforcing even more. I really have a low opinion of people don't I?:o:o:rotfl: But I think there is something that means people generally will fail to notice things unless they are pointed out even more.

Do peeps think this is still working?

Date at the top says until 31/12/2017. But in the T&C's, it says 31/01/2017.

I don't think so Scamps. I did this twice and the second time submitted the receipt after December. The form had changed implying that end December was the accurate end date. I don't know if something is different now though.

Wishing you many years of happy driving in your new car. :)

I'd never realised I had cruise control. Still haven't used it though.

Cruise control is brilliant to help stay within the speed limit. I find it quite hard to drive at 30mph without it. Be brave, Seren, and try it out.

I got bananas in and could make dry toast but no rice pudding rarely buy that and no apples . So I got half the stuff :)

I was also told to eat porridge made with water (add the banana, mashed, to that for sweetness) and to drink coke. We were never sure if it was the sugar in coke which was good for you or if it just killed any bugs it met!

    Get better soon, Tweets.

Oh dear mhoc, Wattisham isn't that bad, it's been good enough for Royalty you know. :D It is out of the way  very attractive and nicely secluded but always been a good base.

Maybe he can appeal and get another posting, last minute sort of thing. If that's definitely where he's going and you come down to visit him, maybe we could meet and have a coffee. You'll have to let me know xx

sadly there is no appeal process and no facility for swapping postings so he is stuck with it.
We are used to him being a long distance away but its going to have a serious impact on his love life - they only got a flat together last October ....
