Good morning everyone. I've had a mostly fantastic 2016 after the opposite 2015. I've been home from down under a couple of weeks & just started to lurk again.
I saw the picture of the gorgeous kettle posted & dragged my dh out in time for opening yesterday to treat myself. I've opened the box to find the lid doesn't close properly, consequently when pouring, the water comes out of the sides as well as the spout!! I'm wondering if I've just got a rogue one or if it's a design fault? I'd be grateful if someone else could check theirs please. TIA x

Sounds like a rogue one, mine is absolutely fine no dripping.

Please can I ask a question, one I never thought I would have to ask but here goes ...

If someone has taken a speed awareness course - I seem to think it was February 2014 - can they take another speed aware course ?
Or does it depend on other factors like who is the local authority and what the offense was and how long between the offenses etc?

How long does the notice stay on your car insurance records and does it make a big difference if you have 2 even if they are years apart?

Last time he took the course so he did not get the 3 points but even so it made a massive difference to his car insurance premiums when it came to renewal time.

They are having a really carp time at the mo, the next posting came through and its not good, this additional pressure has come at a bad time but even so ....

I've just got to go now and ruin someones week :(
Does anyone else get fed up of their 20 something's making the same stupid mistakes.

My Mam (who insists that 36 in a 30 is not 'really' speeding) has just had her 3rd speeding ticket within 2 years. From what she told me, even though she did the course the first one because she has reoffended she gets the 1st set of points along with the next lot. 3 times in the same place!!!!

I really would check on the Motoring board.
I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammar :)

I've been lurking for a long time, so have just stepped briefly from the shadows to say:

Glad you got your room in hallway back Seren :T:T:T

    Thank you Tweets.

Hope you get better soon. I find the BRAT approach is good when you feel like eating.

    Banana
Rice - the plainer the better (canned rice pud, drain the cream off)
    Apple
    Toast - dry, no butter.

Any or all of these will help the problem. Dry toast works wonders.

Sorry you feel like this LittleOwl......and if you do others may feel like that too:o

I think things are done with the best intention but can snowball. i would hate anyone to feel that they are being left out:o

I don't think there is a pm culture at all. That would be the threads downfall. I think there are 2 instances of something happening recently to which you are referring. But if you look back, it has happened previously on many occasion in the past.

My PM's regarding the Nectar promotion contained no information that couldn't be found on the thread and started as a simple "legs up" to a couple of posters. Nothing more. With hindsight I should have just posted but it seemed easier at the time to copy and paste. I'm sorry if anyone has felt "left out":o

I'm unsure how sensitive Braveheart info is but I know for sure that his intentions are well founded and he is someone with a generous spirit.

I hope you will keep posting LittleOwl ......it happens quite often that people post only a few times and disappear....hope you will stick around:)

got to be honest here even for 'long standing posters/lurkers' it can feel a little bit cliquey we have seen many people come and go and honestly some posters on here make their minds up not to like you no matter how good your intentions are that said I guess 'real life' is like that too you can't please everyone lolol:A
We are many we are one xxx

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

Same here but doesn't stop me posting random bits (some would say rubbish) but it's what makes the thread tick, people, random comments etc. The thread is going through a very quiet phase, lack of glitches, but we've had a drought of glitches before but it has never been this quiet. This thread needs some people to come out of lurkdom :)

Point taken - will try to contribute more.

Just off to dds to check on her cats as she is away until late tonight.
