We're giving away millions of bonus Nectar points in our Swipe and Win event, from this Friday to Sunday.

All you need to do is spend £10 or more and swipe your Nectar card* in store, online or on petrol, and you're guaranteed to get a coupon worth from 200 to 5,000 points (that's up to £25).

    Sainsbury's

needless to say its the one weekend I cant get to sainsbobs :( - well I suppose I could get some petrol on Friday morning ...

I was going to ask when the next 25% Tu clothing sale is but I imagine it will be a week on Tuesday :)

Except for getting more of the rat poison blocks

The fox has started coming around again, not stopping but just running through, usually setting off the security light but by then he has gone. The light went on in the early hours one night so I looked out expecting to see the fox on the lawn, it wasn't, it was a rat

Its one of the down sides of living semi rural, once the cold sets in the rat comes back.

I said I don't know what the rat is living on, the cats are not fed outside in this weather and we don't put bread on the lawn. OH is convinced they live at the bottom of the compost heaps (plastic ones) even though the heaps are freezing cold at this time of year and only topped up with tea bags, banana skins and vegetable peelings.

This morning OH looks at the apple stores in the porch and the rat has been living on the apples we wrapped up in newspaper in October put on trays so all of our store apples are now in the bin
    :(

So everything in the porch which was not much, only the fire stick box, the apple store baskets, wellies, bags for life, empty store baskets and an old office chair was turfed out this morning, the porch scrubbed down and bleached and tidied up and the rat trap set up.

The floor of the porch is blue brick but the rat has managed to dig under the bricks and under the apple store so the floor was covered in dirt so we had to scoop the dirt out and bin it, then bleach the brick floor - no obvious sign of where he is coming in though. I suspect that rat has tunnelled in from under the wood pile outside the porch and then come up under the blue bricks - needless to say I've been requesting OH to get this wood pile shifted for years but it fell on deaf ears.
The wood pile is actually scrap wood that came out of the boys bedrooms when it was revamped 3 years ago, it really needs to be cut down and taken to the tips as its things like painted skirting's boards so unsuitable for the fire.

Hello Mhoc, Rats awful things, We had them a couple of years ago they got into the loft. We found dog food up there, we don't have a dog. We didn't no where they were getting in from.We was advised by a friend to shake talc all over the floor. Next morning we could see tracks where they had been. They was coming from next door,at the time their garden was very over grown. They had a out house in which they stored dog food. Rats got in by climbing up the ivy on their house and through a hole in the facer board. Strange but true.
May help you find where they are getting in.

    Evening all. take care D:)
