  • Well, it all went downhill...

Opened box, wrong item sent, similar but a much cheaper brand, so did livechat (I was very polite) and replacement is being sent on Friday apparently (I just pray it comes after work ends at 2pm!) but now I am expected to wait in for Hermes tomorrow  to collect this one.

Amit (the nice chap from livechat) wished me 'A good life ahead' - which was very kind of him.

Online shopping does NOT save time...

Don't think so. I thought that the dentist was meant to do any work that is necessary. Referring you to another professional sounds like it would be private work. Happy to be proved wrong.

If you google dentist band prices I think the price of a checkup includes a clean even if dentist didn't say you need one. I usually have one with my checkup and don't pay extra hth xx

Will be interesting to see their reply. Surely they cannot wriggle out of that one

I have just been speaking to a journalist. Contacted the local paper as could not find out who ran a local shopping centre - they have far too little provision for parking bikes securely, and actually cut it down a few years back. Now I cannot go there of a weekend because I cannot lock my bike up anywhere. I have spent several months trying to find out who owns the centre with zero success, at least this way the paper should be able to get hold of them.

Trading Standards will also have access to this information.
