Evening Daisybanks - very interesting information. I know that uric acid has been blamed for arthritis and we are always willing to try anything that may give relief :D

    Morning 3dogs,
I thought i would give it ago. Self help and all that
In the book she is saying the acid is like egg shell.
You can do an experiment with an egg, place the egg in a small glass cover it with cider vinegar leave for a couple of days. The shell would have dissolved leaving the egg in tack. I haven't it tried it don't what to waste the egg or cider vinegar.

    Take care D
  • NSD yesterday.

Amazon now delivering my duvet today, they say. Which is nice as their delivery estimate on the invoice is Thursday.

Nipped to McColl, got some Heritage block butter - only £1 there.
Butter prices are definitely on the up - T (1.09) and S (1.40) and even A's smartprice has gone up to 99p - all of these were around 85p the last time I bought at a non-rtc price.

    Good morning Folks.
    Hi Dave,
I should be so lucky. No not that simple, your are right a little more to it.
In the book when she first started this was many years ago
    short version
    1. On arising, she dissolved one teaspoon of clear honey in a tumbler of hot water, and added to this one desert spoon of cider vinegar. Took this 3 times a day.
    2. Took one teaspoon of black molasses three times a day
    3. Epsom salts bath three times a week, Check with the doctor
    4. Took a range of best quality vitamins.minerals and proteins.
    5, Excercise the joints gently.
    6. Strict acid free diet. The book goes into the food you should cut out.
I know its not rocket science, a lot is common sense.
When you are pain 24/7 and movement hurts the old joints. I have not been as active as i should have been, so have put on extra weight, That don't help must get of my butt and lose that also.
Margaret Hills has a clinic in Coventry. If you have loads of money. for a one to one personal plan.
    Sorry waffling again.
    Take Care D

My hairdressers recommended Margaret Hill, there's a lot of sense there.

I could manage to eat/drink what she recommends but I've not had a bath in years  if I manage to get in, I wouldn't be able to get out again  :o. I have to use the shower :D

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Off to set up a treasure trail in the garden for the dogs, as they are with us again today :D. They are desperate to get out side and have a sniff for treats

I just use one chewy treat strip broken into seven pieces and off they go sniffing them out. Bonnie is very good at this game but being a Jack Russell she ought to be :D

I got 4 of the President butter before Christmas when it was £1 in sada part paying with wombles - I didn't realise it was unsalted but we really like the taste - needless to say there were complaints from one Christmas guest who had to put a tiny pinch of salt onto her toast :(

One packet left and I will be sad when that's gone - I now wish I'd got more especially in light of butter prices rising.

We have also had the lovely Brittany butter with little salt crystals some years ago when Morrisons had it at a very silly price on offer which was equally gorgeous, goodness knows how much this is now - OH uses butter on his sandwich's and on mash so its far too good for this :o

I am wondering if this would work with cats :rotfl: - in this weather my three utterly refuse to set foot outside ;)
