so instead I thought I could manage some light filing and desk clearing so it at least looks like I've done something constructive today.

Does anyone have a Leeds Building Society regular saver issue 3 - it was a monthly saver you could apply for online, very quick and simple to do. I sent them a cheque in the post back in April and they send you an old fashioned pass book although its all managed online
With the annual bonus it was paying an acceptable 3.05% gross :j
Sadly though from February the 1st it will only be 2.30% :(

I was just going to file the letter I had from them but then I sat and actually read it properly - it makes you wonder how often we just do this, just file or recycle official letters without re reading them and then miss vital info.

The letter also had information about regular saver issue 4 which also will pay 2.30% - save between £50 and £250 per month and only one withdrawal per year - so I good one for putting the Christmas or holiday savings money into if you have the self discipline not to do more than one withdrawal.

The max you can save is £6000 - so if you save £250 per month then it lasts 2 years.

Right at the bottom of the page came the vital bit -
it says you cant transfer from one to the other but you CAN have both open at the same time - both issue 3 and 4 :T
So potentially you could be saving up to £500 a month with 2.30% interest including the bonus

This is the page - don't be horrified by the low rate, its the total including bonus that is important

    RegularSaver (Issue 4)

    + 1.80% conditional bonus (variable) =
    2.30Gross‡ p.a./AER† (variable)
Interest paid: annually on 31 Aug (commencing 31 Aug 2017)
    Minimum operating balance: £50
    Minimum monthly payment: £50
Maximum monthly payment: £250 (£250 for joint accounts)
Withdrawals: Access is limited to one withdrawal of your capital investment during the bonus period, without notice or loss of interest subject to the minimum operating balance of £50 being maintained. If further withdrawals are required you will not qualify for a bonus in respect of that period.
Based on the interest rates and level of bonus payment quoted above, if you open an account on 1 September and you save £250 per month for 12 consecutive months, you will receive gross interest of £37.48 on 31 August the following year, provided that you do not make any withdrawals during the bonus period (1 September to 31 August).

Can anyone advise where I can buy a cheap 2nd hand Iphone 5s from?

In the past I bought from smartf0nestore.com but i'm having problems with them sending Japanese iphones, and I want a UK one.

I'm not keen on ebay as may be dodgy for iphones, cex is expensive.

    Any ideas please?

thanks for asking, unfortunately not :(
I had a call at the end of last week from the new maanager asking me to go in but he mentioned he knew of my problem and wanted an informal meeting to discuss it. He said he had been approached by another member of staff.
I was very upset and knew who this was as she is the only person who I told, she has been away for five months herself and I have helped her many times with her finances etc.
I called her in the evening and she told me the whole office was buzzing with it, making me feel a whole lot worse and also telling me the old manager had been in the office at the time of the call.
I asked her what was the point of going on if this had happened and she replied "youre not going to do anything silly are you?" I said no but I feel so worthless and I said goodbye.
About an hour later my husband took a call from my very upset new manager asking if he was with me as he had taken a call at home from someone saying I was going to take my life.
We chatted and he said he would be there for me any time etc and not to worry about the meeting as it was unofficial but had to be done on work premises !!
I am now in a right state as why does it have to be done there when I am signed off until february .....?? :(

That's awful, what kind of beast would do that to you? It's nice that your new manager called though, I don't know many that would that.

    Morning (ish)

    Good afternoon x
I have just moved positions within my company and now have loads of hr stuff to deal with. We are a company with some 2300 shops so not small. Anyway, when someone has a "conduct" issue, if it's not an immediate sackable offence we start out with an informal "kitchen" chat to see if we can get to the bottom. When we say kitchen, we mean take em out for a coffee and see if something else might be wrong?
