    Good morning all....

Where did the weekend go....I did a bit of shopping a bit of gardening,a little drinking and some warming by the fire and now it's Monday morning.

Locarr...thank you for the updated pics of the 4p stuff....I saw the fluffy ladies slipper sock type things in my T on Saturday ...about 4 pairs and they were still scanning at £5...not sure if my need is enough to return today to see if they are still there...they wouldnt wash well so its sort of wear and discard...which I suppose you can do at that price...but I also have way too many christmas socks that just get an airing for a few weeks a year!

I think I'm missing out on the collective train journey....hope you don't mind, but I'm not feeling a little low and have decided to wave from the embankment as you all pootle past!

In another T I had a run in with one of the assistants yesterday, she has previously been what I consider inappropriate with her comments to me and yesterday she again challenged me in a way I felt did not give good customer service .....a call to headoffice has now resulted in a £50 giftcard...so hopefully in the future she will back off.

My reduction shop was good yesterday and again I have managed to fill my empty freezer drawer with a selection of chicken, pork, sausages and mince for £3.14 so frugal January rumbles on.
I have £5.95 in wombled APG's so that should see us through to the end of the month now.

Well done bubbs on 2 years fag free

Pacifica and seren...luck and good wishes going forward for your employment endeavours....and Rhosy, dont you dare give your boss your recipies!!!!!

HG ....big hugs...never easy to lose anyone, regardless of age. xx

Welcome home mhoc....hope the holiday was good.

If I've missed anyone out...sorry....well wishes to all

I'm being a little hermit like at the moment...fragile and perhaps taking things a bit too much to heart so this week could go either way.....
Let's try and make it a good one.....
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Have you been watching all the US political stuff LEJC? I know you enjoy it but not sure whether it would make you feel better or worse.

OH yes HG.....I have loved every min of it!
I'm not a Trump fan and I probably wasn't Hilary's greatest supporter but I guess I aired that way rather than the way it went.

I think that Obama and his family were for me "the rounded presidency"....taking aside some of his policies you could not have had a better example of decency, eloquence, and values heading up the US for the last 8 years!

How will America fare going forward....I think it will be all change in 4 years time....
Me is thinking you are off sunny side soon.....give them all a wave from me x

Just to add there was more undercrackers available at this store along with Men's T-shirts XS and XXL, I only bought what I would use rather than clearing the whole shelf as some would...

Also almost all their sale stock scanned at less than the reduced ticket price for example the hat pictured was marked at RTC £3 but scanned at 50p :)

    You're welcome.

Rushing .....but want to send you my condolences hg....hugs :A

Can our train travellers check that they are clicking through to the right train service please.

    From the T&C's

Virgin Trains East Coast tickets must be booked at virigintrainseastcoast.com therefore, please accept the redirect from virgintrains.com or, book direct at virgintrainseastcoast.com

You need to be clicking through to the west coast/ east coast link BEFORE you actually make your booking

    I'm out the door...:)

Thanks TM :) I messed up the first child's train ticket - I booked on virgintrains.co.uk as that was where I landed from the nectar page.

That child has now cost me £2.30, so their 1000 points had better come through :rotfl:

I regularly get "random service check", I think it's because of all the scanning and deleting of items I do, last week I got a "random" check for four items :rotfl: I had probably scanned and deleted about twenty items right enough.

    Morning gang
if you cancel everything off and go to the scan as you shop tills and beep the machine at the top it will say have u anything that didnt scan ..click no and the handset will be blank.
You can now leave the handset and get another or go through the quick till.
I did it while on the hunt for 4p items (my first trip out), as I only found one :( x

Why would it charge more? Hope you are not paying for the ticket to be posted to you!
