    Morning everyone.

Rainy and miserable in london/Essex border.

It's not that expensive over here. You only need 10k for a5 percent deposit.

My 1 bed had more than doubled since I moved in 4 years ago. Area is a bit rough but to have a mortgage at just 330 a month is fab. It's around 750 minimum now to rent.

Hopefully in a few years we can move somewhere bigger..😀

I think there can be rough areas in any part of the country Rosie.....I live on the outskirts of an old pit village and I love it here in the North East. Yes there are extremely cheap properties in run down areas and you need to be careful and have local knowledge before putting any money in but there's space to breathe:)

You had any Edam money back Rosie......I'm sure you bought yours the same time as me?

Morning all! Hope all is well in Elite land! I've been dipping in and out whilst trying to make the most of my last weekend of freedom before starting my new job tomorrow! :D Been visiting my parents as I didn't get chance to spend much time with them over Christmas, and DH is in NYC for work. Fortunately I persuaded him to take his new walking boots and decent coat as it started snowing there not long after he landed! He was going to wear office shoes and a light mac. I know he's more northern than me, but really :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

What are the Sun holidays like please? Is it caravan park holidays for families? DH and I don't have kids but we're looking at ways of having cheap day or weekend trips away so we can have a break from work without breaking the bank.

Off to T shortly. Forgot to check the Freddo situation yesterday and I suspect it's too late now. At least my waistline will be better off if they're all gone :rotfl:

We booked a Sun holiday a few years back and just used it as a base, a place to sleep. Ideal if you want to go out and about :D
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Arthien , we stayed at Pontins Brean Sands, I've just had to check :rotfl: they are chalets, not the best but as I said we just used it as a base when I did a road trip from Suffolk to Newbury, Oxford, Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge , Stonehenge and on to Brean Sands where we drove to Bristol and Bath and a few other places of interest. Well worth the money we thought :D

Edit: too many predictive stuff lol xx

    Good Morning

    Piddling it down here :(

It's murky here too tweets but I've just checked the weather for the week ahead and although it may be wet at times, it's going to be mild and no snow :T:T Fewer car accidents, fewer people slipping on ice.....

Hopefully that will keep the strain off the poor NHS for another week:o

  • Just got all excited, email invitation to a Wine Tasting Event at M&S. Was thinking free wine, but you have to pay a £5 deposit that is redeemable on any bottle of wine you buy at the event. My guess is that only the expensive ones will be available at the event.

I've booked these many years and stayed at Eyemouth (will be there again in March). The coastline is lovely and the seals follow the fishing boats into harbour each day. Close to train links at Berwick for trips into Edinburgh too.

The chap I work with goes on a Sun holiday 1 week a month for 5 months of the year. He stays in Weymouth and upgrades directly with the park after booking. He reckons it costs him about £35.00 for the 4 nights. He has a small dog and in some parks they are allowed.
