That is good news but worrying as we have been missed. I do hope this does not mean we are going to face issues like Sloppy.
I just had a quick look on their FB and while no one mentions payment issues, a response to a query about if you can have more than one account in a household is interesting. It says different members of a household can have an account but each must be linked to separate payment accounts. In the app it does still mention you could have two accounts linked to one payment method, but maybe that has changed?
The T&Cs do mention you can only have one account per person, you have to be 16 or over and you can only claim on your own account not for others. Maybe they are clamping down on anyone helping family members .... Or maybe nothing to worry about and they are just busy catching up.

It's a tough one Di...but in the intersts of all I felt the need to mention the wine.
I really am wondering whether to order 2 cases of champagne...but considering I've already had the conversation with the delivery driver yesterday when he delivered the whites about dry January and my trying for every other day I dont think he will understand my need for fizzy so soon after.....
I seem to be spending a fortune on the stuff....but at least I am keeping the food bill down for frugal jan
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I've hardly spent anything on food but our spare bedroom looks like mothercare. I haven't spent much money but got some cracking deals. My boss needs to be more understanding I don't have time to work four days a week :rotfl:
I picked up my m&s order on Saturday on my way into work and when I opened it he said oooh how much Did that not cost you:rotfl: I'm starting to worry I'm gaining a reputation as a skin flint......but when i try to explain to them they just dont wang the hassle of doing it! More fool them :rotfl:0 -
Morning all! Trying to make the most of my last few days of freedom but struggling to know best to spend it! I'd like to do some sewing and go swimming again but DH is determined I should do something 'useful' in the house...:o
I'm determined not to go to the Boots sale, I've decided there is no worthwhile value in storing things for months or years, until they inevitably go off or get donated or chucked. Plus, there is also the emotional/mental cost to consider as all the carp in the house starts to weigh on my mind and stress me out. As long as we've got enough of the basics for drinks, cleaning, dishwashing and laundry to last a few months, then I know it will come back round on offer again at some point, so my small weekly Lidl shop will cover everything else we need on a daily basis! As much as I like getting bargains, I'll get more pleasure from having the essentials and a tidy house (I think minimalist might be a step too far :rotfl:)
Just a word of warning to anyone's who bought Harvester vouchers on Groupon before Christmas, mine expires by 15th Jan so needs to be used one evening this week.0 -
How is sewing not useful :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Technically a Christmassy felt gingerbread men and snowmen garland won't be 'needed' for around 11 more months, so I can sort of see his point on that one :rotfl:
I think he's just a bit miffed as he's been getting up at 5.30 to work on his project but I've been getting up at 8In my defence, I'll probably spend the majority of my life getting up early, either for work or kids, so I'm taking every chance for a lie in that I can

But you wont have time just before next Christmas!
I have to admit, I normally get up around 6:45 to get on with what needs doing in the morning, then drag OH out of bed at around 7:45 to get ready for the working day.
The annoying thing is OH thinks nothing of arranging jobs for 09:00 when I am needed also because it means he needs to get up at 07:30 (he is not an early riser) but it means I have to get up at about 06:15 - 06:30 in order to get everything done before we go, he can't understand why I get up an hour before him. Maybe I should get up after him during the week and he will then find out the amount of stuff that needs doing to keep the house running (not that they would get done, there would just be complaints that X is not done and Y needs doing):rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Sounds familiar!! DH has a habit of putting dirty dishes etc next to the dishwasher instead of unloading and reloading it, then saying that the dishwasher needs doing. The dirty plates then block access to the microwave and kettle, but he seems to think he's done his job as they're in the vicinity of the dishwasher, as if that is somehow helpful :rotfl: There was a Michael McIntyre skit about him doing the same thing and DH couldn't understand why I found it so funny! :rotfl:
To be fair, when I was working I was up at 6.15 every day and I got used to it, so I'm sure the lie-ins won't last beyond this week, as my body clock adjusts quite quickly even for weekendsIn fact, I'm hoping I'll be able to change my hours from 9-5 to 8-4 as that would help me avoid traffic in and out of town, and give me a nice long evening!
My job-before-last meant I got home by 4.45 so when DH and I went out to the pub for 2-4-£10 tea at 5.30, we were always surrounded by people with around 40-50 years more life experience than us :rotfl:

My son in law was due to have his other ear op today after the december one was cancelled after he had been at hospital for 4 hours waiting to go in. However at 4.50p.m. last night they called to cancel again. He has private health care with his job but wont go down that route as there is a £100.00 excess. He was brought up to be careful with money and worries about bills all the time even though DD is very thrifty and doesn't waste money or food. I did offer to give them £50.00 towards the excess so he could get it done but he said no. Its a colostomia which is basically a growth of skin cells in the ear but it can lead to deafness and sometimes grow into the brain. He had the other one last year and although he was in pain for 2 weeks after it healed up well. This one is the more complicated one so needs doing. Am I just worrying when its not my worry?0
