Yes the reason is because its a"holiday" home not a residential , yet they sell them to you as being able to live there, i dont mind, its just an inconvenience more than anything and the summer when we have one:rotfl::rotfl: more than makes up for it
I'm glad it's such a lovely reason!0 -
Nicky The Snowman 4pk toilet rolls 30p and The Snowman kitchen rolls 25p at Wilko instore
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nicky-snowman-4pk-toilet-rolls-30p-snowman-kitchen-rolls-25p-wilko-instore-2596856
Well that beats the price I have from M on each of these of 74p:rotfl:. Thanks for this, I shall try Wilko:T. Fortunately I didn't go for the kitchen rolls at 74p, probably due to the number of sheets per roll not being so good (but I will check that). I avoided the toilet rolls at M too - I thought "but are they cheaper than SP 6 rolls at £1?" and I did an attempt at mental arithmetic: 74p divided by 4 multiplied by 6 = £1.11 per 6:eek::eek: - pretty expensive loo rolls at M:rotfl:. So, especially with the information you've provided me:T, I'm pleased to say that I bought neither of them from M:rotfl::rotfl:. Trust my store to have an incorrect SEL - but I think not, as far as I'm aware (but that is just from the SEL), they're 74p.
EDIT: Yes, the kitchen towels are 56 sheets per roll so, at 25p, they work out at a lot worse than the Freedom Rhino kitchen towels at 50p from M that are 250 sheets per roll (those packs are one roll). So, obviously at just 56 sheets per roll (I assume the ones in Wilko are the same), 74p:eek: from M for 112 sheets (2 rolls in a pack) was out of the question! (I doubt anyone will have Freedom Rhino now - if so, I have not found them for a long time now.) 25p is over £1.11:eek::eek: per 250! V.expensive kitchen towel it seems, even at Wilkos:eek::rotfl:.0 -
Having been behind, I am now temporarily slightly up-to-date. The M list has been reset and there are a few good items now on (in bold), for example Nut & Alcohol Free Christmas Pudding (454g) at 50p (if you are lucky to have that) and a star-shaped M Seasonal Biscuits Tin 200g at 50p:mad::mad:. I suspected the price of this may have changed but was told £1, only to find a later store, with no stock, now showing 50p. That may mean that some Snowman cupcakes kits (I had two different ones) could be at cheap RTC price as I was told £2.24 at the same till. So, if anyone has either or both (or maybe more!:rotfl:) of those and wants to try at SS to see what they are - I don't know, I had to leave it at £2.24 but I now have my doubts and I doubt I will see them again.
Quite a number of items of kitchen equipment have gone to 50p. I have added a small number to the list, which has also resulted in me crossing off some other versions that appear now to be worse price, but I've yet to add many of the 50p items on. I thought I had maybe the whole lot in my first store:rotfl:. However, a later store had all of them plus a couple more. However, lest the people using this store think they have all of them in their store, I found a further couple later on that you don't have:rotfl:.
There was a challenge set on Sunday night, though I doubt anyone took it up and I have managed now inadvertently to meet it. There was a note on the Chupa Chups candles on the list, which I have not seen for ages - since the week I first found them in fact and then they disappeared for me - I have now removed the note. I had taken these away from Tvs M (T is £1 anyway) due to not seeing them in M for a while. I had been through 20 different stores over the weeks - I doubt TBG will have them from using 3 stores but it doesn't matter anyway as T and M are already price-matched - and I had not seen them. I wasn't looking for them at all but - store number 21 came up with them for me:rotfl:.
So, the challenge was "if anyone can even find them in M" and, I did! Or I found one of them anyway - the other two are there in SEL only but at least I have all three! The fourth one, which T has, I have not seen in M before - and it's just the same three again so, as far as I know, M have three but trust the fourth one to be around somewhere.
I say if you are lucky to have things. However, someone on hotdeals on the 9 pack Ice Cream Chocolates at 50p said someone was lucky to find these in stock at this price. I did find stock of them - albeit just one unit - a week last Saturday and, yesterday, I have a whole shelf full of stock:rotfl:! So, someone does have a lot of stock and it's not been that hard for me to find. However, I didn't see the product in any of my other stores yesterday and, initially, when I first found them myself in M, the Friday before last, I had just a SEL for them and an empty space in the freezer. I also now have the Double Whammy Ice Cream Sandwiches 4 pack with stock (but again just one of my stores) at £1 RTC - it's showing online on msm with the telltale £1.77 and unavailable in M. Unavailable online - and it's not just in relation to M but I've noticed it with competitors - is often a sign that the product is available instore on much cheaper RTC but has merely dropped offline and gone onto that RTC. So, if I see unavailable, I now immediately think whether there is an RTC, about products that mysteriously vanish online - they have got to go somewhere and they don't disappear immediately from stores as quickly as msm suggests!
It's not always guaranteed as some of the 600g nuts went offline for M but are still £2.50. However, it seems to me quite often the items are on RTC. One day, something on a.com, the next day, it has dropped off - pull the other one: it has got to be available somewhere and I do not believe anyone that suggests it disappears completely from everywhere, every store in the country, in the space of one day, unless the reason it's dropped off is because of a recall. Other than that, which would be known about, 24 hours on, stores that had it yesterday will start the day with all the stock they had that did not sell out.
I have started the update (which I am aiming to complete in one day, except possibly items in one section that I know I won't have in my stores on Wednesday (tomorrow:rotfl:) but which will not change as they're the pound shop items - I will either do them or, if I don't get to them, I will do them later). It is just that though: a start. Much more to do again.
See you later:D:wave:.0 -
