I added S butter to mycoupons for 60 points. Went in and bought it first in the hope I would get a tillspit...it's the most money I've spent all week:rotfl:

No tillspit. So just bought the iron ......a Tefal. Got the thing home and discovered it's totally impossible to see how much water you are adding. The instructions clearly say don't overfill and there's a maximum line but the plastic is opaque and you just can't see how much you are adding. The filler jug doesn't have any measurements on it. It's so frustrating. We've had lights on, torch, mobile phone light....honestly....it's driven me to distraction. DD has 20/20 vision and she says it's impossible.
I must be missing something:o

It is lovely but everything is a massive job. It tooks us almost 5 hrs to put photo frames up.

You must have a lot of photo frames!! Or a blunt drill bit!

How are you getting on with the biomass boiler? We have been putting off the decision for our heating... but it is getting to the point that I cannot delay it anymore.

Yes, yours truly walked in and out of the station in under 3 minutes, emerged carrying a load of papers and was greeted by a bunch of happy children all waving !!

It was a lot about 20 i think. Stone walls though

I love the boiler, Our house used to be about 4 degrees in the morning as we just had a log burner. Its hard to heat

I just can't get away with these ginormous warehouse type supermarkets:o

I visited an S today that used to be my regular weekly supermarket. It's had a total refurbishment in recent years and has got to be almost double in size. I am only slightly exaggerating to say that it's almost impossible to see it from one end to the other.
It used to be a fairly pleasant shopping experience and now it's awful.

The echoing acoustics and cool temperatures make me want to get out quick. The place looks deserted. There's no ambience.

I remembered back to an occasion years ago when I was getting the big food shop in just before Christmas. I knew most of the staff and recognised the voice of the lady doing the voice over. She was wishing everyone a happy Christmas and I remember feeling all warm and fuzzy.

I feel the marketing guys have got it all wrong:o

Does anyone else feel the same or is it just me?

Anyone had any luck with the cheese in A today? Just curious as I bought plenty in Lidl with the vouchers pre Christmas. Elaine?

I've done a quick check of my spending this week and I've spent just under £6.
What with whoopsies and full fridges and freezers it's been fairly easy.
Plus I haven't had cat food to buy.

I only told Mr TM today that I was doing a Frugal January and he asked what's new?:rotfl:

I could not find the cheese in 2 A's I tried today. They had the 800grm packs but not the 1kg. So might not be all stores
