Silly question, I am sure you have... but have you complained to the company about the iron blowing up?
Thanks SSM but it was well out of date AND I got it free anyway for hosting a Come Round party:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau

Morning All!
We too have just paid real money to buy proper storage solutions for Xmas decorations!
It felt good seeing all those mis matched sweetly tins going into the recycling. Now everything is colour coded and accessible. :j
Wish I could say the same for the rest of the house!

It must be a January "spring clean" thing in retail given most of the major stores, Wilkoand and Poundstretcher have all ramped up their range of storage.
Wilko have four drawer plastic units for £10 which seem reasonable.
I have not gone all out for the shelving from Arg0s that has been mentioned on here at £7.99 ... though that may be coming next.
This year various stores even seem to be pushing plastic boxes for storing Christmas trees - I don't recall seeing them before, what is wrong with the old cardboard box and even more sticky tape.

I cant believe people dont shop around for their elec/gas when you see prices like these! Sal if your year is not up yet how do you know what figures to put in may I ask? I am on an economy seven tariff if that makes any difference.
The MSE Energy Saving Club tool is useful for comparing (other comparison sites are available) and it monitors and informs you if there are any better desks available.
They have DJ e a few collective switches - I switched to S, then BG ... then BG again - paid £30 switching fee each time (if not part of a collective switch, check that more cashback isn't available by going direct though QC or TCB).

Don't get me wrong, I understand different tools for different purposes and different drills, or upgrades, just not two of the same at the same time. Though I suppose you do have the benefit of not having to wait for the battery to charge mid job
.

Buying a new battery is often more expensive then buying a new drill with battery included.
We have many of the same tool that does the same thing. I also do not get it... but he tends to get things from carboot for very little so I try to keep quiet (as long as he does not want to store them in the house)...100 -

It was on the news over Christmas (was it India?) where they withdrew and replaced the larger denomination bank notes with only a short amount of notices, as people were keeping cash and if I understood correctly avoiding paying taxes. I think it was a way of discovering who has all the cash and if it has been declared/taxed.
As they withdrew so quickly the new notes have not been produced quickly enough for banks and cash machines, so business are closing as they cannot pay their staff and people haven't the money to spend (electronic banking is not as well established).
At least we have been given sufficient notice.

I am also looking at changing energy from Eon. My current deal expires 2nd Feb and would go up around £200 if I stay. I ahve done 3 compares and each one is different. I have also checked out Iresa. These are looking far cheaper than anyone else by approx £100 followed by Future energy. Has anyone used either of these companies before? Thanks,0
