This isn't always the case as my job changed to 24 hours and we already had contracts that said they could change working hours.
My dd2 used to work for T and they went 24 hour too and she was expected to change to suit - needless to say she got herself a much better job with a lot more prospects and pay and at least it gave her the kick to do it x

Your DD2 did well :) Sometimes we do need that push! Glad it worked out well for her :)

She did but only went to T as a student and had loads of qualifications so eventually sprouted wings and quadrupled her pay .
She has now flown the nest and landed with a bump in the real world ;)

.Also I don't make staff share tips as the front staff make all the contact with customers.
I disagree with this. If the waiter was to take a rubbish cooked meal out to a table, they (probably) would not get a tip, and on the flip side, if they took a stunning plate of food out, they might be more likely to be tipped. The kitchen staff have no way of earning tips, yet they are contributing to the customers experience. I would say the tip should go to all concerned.....if a tip is required (which is a different discussion all together).
As far as people being intoxicated on licensed premises such as spoons then perhaps it is spoons staff who should be looked at for continuing to serve alcohol to persons who are already intoxicated....
Yes, I believe it is illegal to serve someone who is intoxicated.

It is, but most pubs would go bust if they enforced it strictly :D.
