I've got that as well, various things for £1 which need loading to the nectar card. I seem to think these are £1 anyway - for instance I've got the bigger pack of Paxo stuffing, load to card for £1 but that is what it was anyway yesterday ...
Also one card has a mystery offer - I have to log in next Thursday to find out
In my store yesterday they were sampling port - I had 3 tiny samples but you forgot how potent port is
Last week I got 4 of the Tu till spits for spending £30 get 8p fuel voucher - one after another came out. This week I've got 4 till spits for spending £10 on pet food an extra 120 points - how many cats do they think I have :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. My dad has recently started a non-medical care business, offering handy-man services, gardening, cleaning, household odd-jobs and companionship. He's had so many people say he should be really busy because there is so much demand on local services, but he finds so often that his potential customers would prefer to struggle along on their own.
It seems that often they're either too proud to ask for help, or they're unaware of how difficult things are for their spouse (often due them having a dementia diagnosis), or they insist that the NHS should do everything for them, even if it means waiting months for help. He sees so many people struggling but unwilling to do what needs to be done to help themselves.
He recently signed up for this befriending service, as he wanted to offer some time for free as part of a recent charity initiative, but the contact he spoke to said they have the same problem. They find that potential users of the service insist they don't need it because they already have friends, even if their friends are in their eighties/nineties and don't leave the house or call them anymore
So it's nice to hear that your local service is having more success in that sense, maybe it's a sign of things beginning to change? No one should go days on end without talking to another person, it's hard for most of us to even imagine what that would be like.
On a lighter note, I hope everyone has a successful and fulfilling day, and hugs for anyone who needs it
Same with my Dad, he was so independent and stubborn, at the very least he could have had someone popping round from his church on a regular basis mid week. He lived on one of 2 housing estates either side of the main road with churches, schools and community centres and I am sure he could have had a thriving social life, mostly he was still using the bus and walking about until he was nearly 80 so there was no need for him to be lonely or at least on his own.
The library as well ran IT courses with tea at the end and I did try to get him interested but he wasn't ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Eldest son had a lovely card yesterday with the Houses of Parliament on, an 18th birthday card personally signed by our illustrious local MP
Except that eldest son is 27 tomorrow and not 18!

Morning luvlies, thought I'd just have a quick blip before I leave the house and won again, didn't delete app from my win last night, just opened it up and won first go. I'm wondering if their take up on the comp has been less than they thought and they're giving away more prizes
. Worth having a go when you get 5 mins

Actually, talking about my dad 's company reminds me of something important I wanted to share, which came about from an accident one of his customers had recently. Is there any way of sharing a facebook post and photo without linking to it directly? I don't want to be accused of advertising or accidentally reveal RL names.0
