    where does the word vegan come from

    hehe Stephen fry said. it cane from the word VEGetariAN as they did not have another word for it

    Spot on :rotfl::rotfl:love QI
    Donald Watson, founder of the Vegan Society, coined the word “vegan” in 1944 as a statement against vegetarians who ate dairy products. He took the first and last letters of the word vegetarian to create his orthodox version of vegetarianism.

    So it worked then :D

    I used to use mine for sealing things like meat, saves freezer burn, as to whether it saves freezer space, I suppose if you unbox everything then yes it would. As to whether it is worth it, the plastic "bags" for it are normally expensive, though I have heard tell that you can use it on normal plastic bags, I would imagine they would have to be thickish though.

    Well, the kangaroo was interesting, like a stronger version of pork really.

    Thank you for reply. Something to think about.:)
