Hello everyone. Nightmare travel today: traffic just stopped, new machines in the car park rejected all my cards, missed train by 1 minute, delayed badly by gas leak in Durham which stopped all trains and ended up sharing a £100 taxi to Darlington with someone whose Dad was in hospital.
Do we all know about the Too Good to Go app (restaurants selling food cheap instead of binning) and the Olio app for sharing a glut of food?0 -
Evening all!
Lots of reading back and catching up to do.
Hope everyone is well.
Had a hectic couple of days as my dear neighbour managed to write off her car in the middle of nowhere on Tuesday night. Fortunately, but unusually, neither my dearly beloved or myself had had a drink at 10.15 (we had both just poured one though!), so had to go and rescue her.
Her car won't get back on the road again, but fortunately, although she has cracked her sternum and has some very colourful bruising to her boobs, she is ok. Yesterday was mainly spent with her overseeing the recovery of her car, hospital etc.
On the plus side I have had a very productive day 'sorting out' and I now have a clear dining table :j:j and a full recycling bin.
I have already cooked the bolognase (sp?)for tea so now to decide how far to go back to catch up!!Serendipitious wrote: »I also read that you can gently stroke the cat's back with a damp flannel once a day and that helps stop the dander from going in the air, but you can't really go to those lengths with other people's cats!
Flannel must be only a tiny bit damp otherwise you get a soggy moggy....Glad it was working a bit later bubbs :T :T

Hello, lovely Elite :wave:
To those with the scratchy dresses. Two delivered, both without tags, will they be ok to return?0 -
I am thinking that if the damp cloth might be spayed with the vet grade aloe vera (Amazon) it might also help
I am wondering if boy cats are worse than girls? We have a very fine toothcomb like a nit comb which we groom all of ours with, we have managed to keep all three totally free of fleas. Our boy cats are both black and it seems like a lot of dandruff like stuff comes off them - especially in the winter months as they are more inside than out.
Its air conditioning (especially on ships) that gets me, I end up doing numerous sneezes in a row, I suppose its the drying of the nasal passages but even getting out on deck as much as possible does not seem to help ...
There is one boy and one girl, cant go spraying other peoples cats though:rotfl::rotfl:Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
