Evening all!
Lots of reading back and catching up to do.
Hope everyone is well.
Had a hectic couple of days as my dear neighbour managed to write off her car in the middle of nowhere on Tuesday night. Fortunately, but unusually, neither my dearly beloved or myself had had a drink at 10.15 (we had both just poured one though!), so had to go and rescue her.
Her car won't get back on the road again, but fortunately, although she has cracked her sternum and has some very colourful bruising to her boobs, she is ok. Yesterday was mainly spent with her overseeing the recovery of her car, hospital etc.
On the plus side I have had a very productive day 'sorting out' and I now have a clear dining table :j:j and a full recycling bin.
I have already cooked the bolognase (sp?)for tea so now to decide how far to go back to catch up!!0 -
I have just been reading and it's not actually the hair that causes the allergy it's something called the dander?, the dead skin, saliva etc.
Could you not take a regular antihistamine/hayfever tablet before you go to keep the symptoms at bay.
No cause i had to come off them as were giving me a wheezy chest:oSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -

I also read that you can gently stroke the cat's back with a damp flannel once a day and that helps stop the dander from going in the air, but you can't really go to those lengths with other people's cats!
Flannel must be only a tiny bit damp otherwise you get a soggy moggy....“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Afternoon all Finally got my new phone working so can post now. iPad on loan now returned - will miss it.
Welcome to Ava - love seeing photos of Elite Babies.
Know that a few hugs are needed as well. Hope the home visit was not too daunting for you Wendyak.
See Tuna is on the menu today :rotfl: Nicely stocked up from Ws when it was on offer and pyo. Think it worked out about 5 for £4 not quite as good but free coffee and paper made up for it.
Was hoping to get to Ws today but needed to wait in for parcel - never mind cleared lounge ready for the decs to go up.:xmastree:
Missed getting the Mail - just wondered if anyone can post the numbers of the Connect 4 - there is a thread on Discount Board but no one has posted today's. TIA0 -

Received my first Radio Times last week so phoned up today to cancel the subscription
Turns out they hadn't even taken the first payment yet so my account has been cancelled and all future issues cancelled as well because I've not paid for them
No idea how this will affect cashback but presumably I've lost it. So make sure you've paid your £1 before you call up to cancel. Don't assume (like I did) that they take it at the point of order placement or the date of the first issue going out
edit: i phoned back because I was worried they would come chasing for the £1 that I haven't paid and try applying default charges. The woman I spoke to this time said the first guy had done it wrong and he should have been able to set it up to cancel after the £1 was taken. He's about to get some retraining on the matter apparently :rotfl: and she's confirmed I don't need to pay anything
So cashback lost but I've got a free magazine. That's something I guess :cool:0 -
