    Evening all!
Lots of reading back and catching up to do.
    Hope everyone is well.
Had a hectic couple of days as my dear neighbour managed to write off her car in the middle of nowhere on Tuesday night. Fortunately, but unusually, neither my dearly beloved or myself had had a drink at 10.15 (we had both just poured one though!), so had to go and rescue her.
Her car won't get back on the road again, but fortunately, although she has cracked her sternum and has some very colourful bruising to her boobs, she is ok. Yesterday was mainly spent with her overseeing the recovery of her car, hospital etc.

On the plus side I have had a very productive day 'sorting out' and I now have a clear dining table :j:j and a full recycling bin.

I have already cooked the bolognase (sp?)for tea so now to decide how far to go back to catch up!!

I have just been reading and it's not actually the hair that causes the allergy it's something called the dander?, the dead skin, saliva etc.

Could you not take a regular antihistamine/hayfever tablet before you go to keep the symptoms at bay.

No cause i had to come off them as were giving me a wheezy chest:o

  • I also read that you can gently stroke the cat's back with a damp flannel once a day and that helps stop the dander from going in the air, but you can't really go to those lengths with other people's cats!

Flannel must be only a tiny bit damp otherwise you get a soggy moggy....

Received my first Radio Times last week so phoned up today to cancel the subscription

Turns out they hadn't even taken the first payment yet so my account has been cancelled and all future issues cancelled as well because I've not paid for them

No idea how this will affect cashback but presumably I've lost it. So make sure you've paid your £1 before you call up to cancel. Don't assume (like I did) that they take it at the point of order placement or the date of the first issue going out

edit: i phoned back because I was worried they would come chasing for the £1 that I haven't paid and try applying default charges. The woman I spoke to this time said the first guy had done it wrong and he should have been able to set it up to cancel after the £1 was taken. He's about to get some retraining on the matter apparently :rotfl: and she's confirmed I don't need to pay anything

So cashback lost but I've got a free magazine. That's something I guess
My first one hasn't arrived yet.. must check to see if they have taken the money, if I can remember which blinking card I used!!
