Well my MS has tracked but at £42, acc to Quidco.
It's that VAT again I reckon.
The tiny print says purchases to the value of £50 excluding VAT.
I need to remember this next time...
ETA With the MS 20% and the VAT 20%, the spend needed to be £86 gross“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

Good morning all, windy but blue sky herevanilla_twist wrote: »Doggy paddle scamps?:rotfl:
Sorry couldn't resist. Good job TM is not about or this could go on forever.
I do feel for people flooded out. The government need to do far more for drainage and flood barriers and it seems older houses are far more at risk.
Village I bought my children up in flooded so road had to be shut. One year eldest ds was on his own and so worried he and his mates put all the furniture upstairs both at home and his his aunts house. Luckily they were ok but if you opened trap door could see water rushing through the footings:eek:
My dds mil has been without gas for 5 days as the builders building new homes nearby cut through pipes. No gas in 3 villages. They are in their 80s and village have been very proactive looking after everyone. Of course the local burger and fish vans are doing a great trade. Someone asked the builders what support they were providing and apparently they have done nothing.
They should have been arranging to deliver hot meals to everyone twice a day and providing electric heaters. Mil has lived in same house all her life and had storage heaters until 2 years ago when she finally had gas put in and central heating at last. Not impressed at all. But they have an open fire and are sleeping in their reclining chairs at night in front of fire.
Stay dry as you can.

There's a simple solution to this, at least in part. We need to start dredging the rivers again. The problem is that the EU will not allow this, it is down to EU Water Framework Directive, adopted in 2000, which places constraints on the dredging of rivers. which was forced into place by Greens. Once again they are putting wildlife and plants ahead of peopleThe silly thing is that once a river has been dredged wildlife flourishes.

Anyone want to set up business with me.... we could make a killing!
You need to put a 5 foot bank up around the house with floodproof gates, a bit like that chap did a couple of years back when there was the really serious flooding. Alternatively you can get residential flood barriers, but all of that does not stop it up from underneath
We are very lucky around here (touch wood). We have a river only 5 minutes walk but there are flood plains only a short distance down river so we don't get the problem, if we flooded a very large area would have to have flooded before us :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I should have remembered as I had similar with their 'Spend £10, get £10 cashback' campaign in October.
It's annoying that they put this right at the end of the Ts and Cs when it is absolutely critical to the offer being successfully achieved.
So I have a new mantra:Cashback's nice for you and me
If we remember VAT.

After a conversation with BQ I feel the need to explain that Bobby doesn't get in our shower! Dh rigged up a mixer tap outside from the hot and cold tap so he enjoys a lovely warm shower when we get home.
Right I'm getting myself too confused this morning I'm going to wrap Christmas presents0 -

What time this evening? WD/M/R or blue? With or without a sauce? Side salad, dressed or undressed? A nice Crozes-Hermitage to accompany it? If so, s/r/l?0
