  • Marley is like a two year old...If there is a puddle..He's got to run through it.....Loves the water, mud....really anything that involves getting dirty...:rotfl:...I have him cut short, so much easier to keep him clean and free of brambles....and other things that get tangled in his coat...:rotfl:

Arghhhh those sticky spikey balls drive me nuts, and him. He lies on his bed when we get home and pulls them out of his leg fur, they get everywhere.
  • Sarah I hope everything goes well for your dh today.
  • Morning
Morning everyone...Its a beautiful day...Been out for a walk in the rain....Am I the only one that likes walking in the rain.....My boy has no choice but seems happy enough..:D

I like walking in the rain I find it relaxing, but draw the line at horizontal rain.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

I think it could be the breed :o Bobby will walk in any weather although he doesn't know the meaning of the word walk. It is so lovely to see him enjoying a run . We are usually out for an hour and he runs....fast the whole time and is still full of energy.
He also loves to swim in the stream before we can even see it.a bit of a problem the other day though the under current took him by surprise! He was a bit wary the next day but still didn't stop him.
He enjoys his hot shower when he gets home too. Spoilt his is, spoilt, does he appreciate it, does he heck :rotfl:

Hot shower :D wonder if tweets s Poppy enjoyes a hot shower although knowing her she d be able to do everything herself in a bath :p

Do you know what doors you would like then?
I for some reason imaging grey doors with a slight art Dec feel but double doors so you can get furniture in and out and I imagine a large hallway and double doors look fab then.
I am hoping for bifolding doors on lounge next year so I can have shutters. I can't make myself order any window coverings as I want my bifolds.

As we cannot find flood doors, we are not going to be restricted. We was going to have bi-fold off the lounge and sun room, but they will look a little silly as the gaps are 1800 and 2000. We will put in french doors (I am trying to get really think frames)

On the front door, the gap is 2500, so we will have either double doors or a really really large door (both will need glass panels on either side), the ones I have been looking at are very modern with an arc dec twist... and yes it does open into a really large hallway (hoping to dress this as a room).

We also have a 2500 gap onto the balcony (I really hate the balcony but OH overruled me)... we will have French doors with etched glass.

I like the idea of shutters, but I would never dust them (easy clean is vital!)... lol

Can you look abroad? In Venice they slot metal sheets in front of their doors to stop the water. They seem to have a rubber seal around them. Come to think of it, I saw something similar in Morecambe I think along the sea front.

A friend fits these, and had been telling us that flood doors don't exist for ages, we just ignored him! He had suggested the metal half shutter things, but they are so ugly and often don't work. I really think I ought to set a company up to make flood doors.
