You did well to get plenty of originals, unfortunately I didn't have access to any as I don't use the bus regularly enough and not near the station. For those of us that only have access to the printable version (from the Metro archive), are we saying that if the supermarket chooses to accept them then that is acceptable? I have redeemed a couple but have not done many as I was concerned it would add to the official investigation if reported by Shopit:eek: :D.

They are prints not photocopies though :A.

MSE's documented stance on coupons is to hand them over and let the shops decide .... even if you aren't buying the correct product

I am certain in would raise your profile instore and at worse that could lead to a ban or refusal of future mocs.

Afternoon all - been AWOL all day.

eldest son had an unexpected day off so as his GF was at work we were the runner up prize so he came to visit.
I made him porridge as he hadn't made himself any breakfast.
I sorted out his Nationwide savings or lack of them.
We sorted out a date for Christmas lunch in December.
We took him to Morrisons for lunch and then Neros for coffee.
And then he went home as he had the only set of flat keys

used and abused but thats about as good as it gets now :D

    Time to read back

    Afternoon all!

Is it just me who finds shopping in a different supermarket than usual incredibly stressful? Nothing was where it ought to be, I ended up wandering up and down trying to find things, then the SS tills kept saying 'please put the item in the bagging area' because one item was too light. Fortunately I knew the trick of pushing down on the scales to make the register the weight change :D The woman next to me had the same trouble but couldn't understand what I meant when I suggested it, and just kept looking around for the SA instead! Needless to say, I was out of there a lot quicker than she was :rotfl:

Lots more on the to do list today, really can't see it all getting done without meeting myself coming back! Unfortunately no chocolate oranges at all in A, let alone 50p ones. I'll just have to try and avoid eating too many of the ones I've got stashed in the present cupboard... :EasterBun

Yes I am finding supermarkets stressful, nothing is obviously where it should be. I can cope with Aldi just about but the 2 stores I visit are radically different. Waitrose is the worse, ours is just a little Waitrose but it leaves me a jibbering wreck

Exactly, this is why I personally have only felt comfortable using ones cut out from the papers as I feel it's a good enough deal as it stands. The fact that they kept the offer going is a brilliant bonus, like the cidre was.

Free is fine, and £1 off when they only cost £1 on offer is just as good.

And while overage is very nice for the brave, I don't think it can ever be worth any form of awkwardness at the tills.

bubbles..I think you were looking for a spa....This might be of help to you...

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/4-spa-day-refreshments-for-2-people-qhotels-for-14-7pp-wowcher-2552810

    Me as well.
Ideally I want a spa day for 2 with at least one treatment and lunch, maybe champers as well and available to use on a Saturday
And within about 60 mins of Birmingham or St Albans
Just about impossible but any help much appreciated

I found one in Malmaison (?) in Birmingham on Groupon I think which was just about perfect but not available on weekends
Also The Cube in Brum, again ideal location and it has a posh restaurant on the top floor, no weekends

Some of the offers say you can upgrade for weekend access but then want another £10 each for this so then an already expensive gift goes into the OMG range :)

Crewe Hall is our nearest Q hotel and we did the spa day, coffee and pastry deal on Christmas Eve last year, very nice relaxing afternoon, more chatting than swimming with eldest child and eldest sons GF.
The one outside York - Aldwick ??? is in a nice location, eldest child has been twice but found service and staff really bad

Thanks to Emeralds advice I went with her elegant taste and refinement :D and got the free O2 WHSmith cards with the baubles and silver stars inside , only 5 in a box but I'd rather have a few very nice ones than a box of 30 normal ones that I would just donate
(could not see these on the website last night)
Ours is the tiniest WHSmiths stationary shop but masses to choose from to suit everyone

Then we went for Nero free drink. OHs Samsung android phone so he had a Q code rather than a set of numbers I still have on my iphone - is this the same for everyone?
