We have a place nearby that used to be handy for taking early learners out, no real danger and not normally any other drivers. They have stopped it now, rather annoying because that sort of place is handy for people that have never driven before. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

OH has taught all ours to drive, he has the patience of a saint.
I look the middle one out (but last to pass) once, I clung on so tight that I could not move to get out of the car! Never again!
You are a nice man teaching your niece!100 -

I couldn't have faced taking either of my older two out before they passed their tests.
I was like you clinging on for dear life once they had passed. :rotfl:
He is a very nice man to do that. Uncle Dave :A0 -

Caledonian Discovery runs cruises along the Caledonian Canal, through the Great Glen and Scottish Highlands - more info here

I’ve been on one of their boat trips and they really are excellent. (Watch the video on their website and see if you can spot yours truly on it!)
During winter to end-March you can hire the whole boat for a very reasonable rate - see details below, from their email newsletter - just in case you and a group of friends/family fancy a winter get-away. Works out at £23/night each with a full complement of 12 people (there are 6 double cabins), or even with just 6 it's only £45/night each.
Caledonian Discovery contact details on the website if anyone is interested.:)
Would a week or weekend away with friends and family at a very competitive rate be of interest? Over the winter months, up to the end of March, our barge Ros Crana is available for hire for £270 per night, for a minimum of two nights. This is available for a maximum of 12 people which works out at just under £23 per person, per night. It is also an ideal base if you know of anybody wishing to arrange an office team building event. With two large communal areas, the use of the galley and the cost including all linen and electricity it is a wonderful way to enjoy this part of the Highlands with friends or work colleagues. If there are more than 12 of you wishing to participate in your event let us know. With enough warning, so we can turn the heating on, we would be more than delighted to open up Fingal* as extra space.

Yes, I struggled to find somewhere quiet, gone are the days when you could use a quiet supermarket carpark after closing time.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Said he loved the buzz it gave him.
So come on, who was it?? :rotfl:
Not me.
Or was it. :shhh:0 -
