I just learnt over on SCC that you can upload your Shopmium receipts via the website, rather than the app, and when you use the website you do not have to scan the barcode on the product.....so I have just uploaded the receipts from the Taylors coffee bags for both mine and DH's accounts.

    exactly.
If you buy a Tu summer dress for £22 which is the standard price you would be wearing and washing it for years and years, OK our summers are minimal but you would get the expected amount of usage. And if you got fed up of it eventually and took it to the charity shop it would still be saleable.
A Tu jumper might cost £20 and if you are lucky its one winter before its only fit for the cloth recycling bin.

What I cant figure out this, wool is so cheap it costs farmers more to have the sheep snipped than they would get for the cost of the pelt. So why if its so valueless is this wool not mixed in with the man made fibres to get the best combination of warmth, durability and economy?

Some summers I've been through my jumper collection and every single one has been taken to cloth recycling or Oxfam clothing bank so Ive had to start all over again. I started a cull again this year and most of the hideous winter jumper dresses have gone - they are even worse than the jumpers themselves. Mostly the winter stuff is in the blanket chest, not quite ready to tackle it yet.

I have a couple of cashmere thin jumpers and it might be the winter to bring those out.

The most embarrassing thing is when you go into a coffee shop in the middle of winter, heating on full blast so you strip off the hat, 2 scarves, ski gloves and then take your jacket off and only then realise you have the awful bobbly raggity jumper on over your jeans, the one that is so shaming you cant believe you still wear it so your jacket has to go back on again. :rotfl:

My jumpers are on their 4th winter. Ok I do buy from Joe Browns but nearly always 50% off sale or through Simply Be with a generous voucher code. No bobbles and kept their colour. I still don't need new jumpers so will probable wait for sales to add to my collection. They really are worth every penny.
I was in sainsbobs tonight as wanted a new pair of pj bottoms (wear with primarni vest tops). I was looking at the knitwear and the poncho type things and must admit I thought they were very poor quality.
Still none of the £10 leggings I am after.

My sada shop from this afternoon.
They manually took £1.38 off for each u&g so my finally bill was £8.18 minus 75p for the collective suckies via COS
Quite happy with this, so I've got nearly £7 off my gin shop tomorrow so I will incorporate suckies and free fish in that one for my own COS which is only at about the £5 mark.

I tend to live in fleeces these days, but I have some jumpers that are about 35 years old, they were MADE then!!

I also have a beaded shirt that is 39 years old, bought it for a barn dance. It was extremely expensive but I think it has lasted well :D

Oh... I'm not sure I wanted to know that!!! I keep spare (ie wombled fruit and caffeine free) teabags in a vintage Oxo tin. I'll try and be good in T!!

Found a lovely tin in the charity shop with 'bits & bobs' written on it, just perfect for replacing the dying plastic box holding fuses and electrical tape etc. Gives me great joy each time I see it!!
Found a lovely, very old , tin in cs last week, it seemed that they had priced the contents, 'press studs' and not the tin. They were happy to take £2 for the lot.

I still have my nanna's very faded button tin. A GF has asked me to leave it to her in my will??
