Good morning all, it's friday:j
LEJC what a very kind and warm hearted thing for you to do
TINY - hope you had a good nights sleep, have you made that Dr's appt yet?
Well I'm pleased to report that my DH has understood his instructions with regards to the up and go's.
I'm making the most of the Waities PYO, so we can replenish stocks in the store cupboard. Yday was the teabags being restocked. 43p to pay for 100 twinings earl grey, twice.
Today he has started the xmas food shopping. 28p for the jumbo king prawns. Managing to use 3 vouchers per shop, so far so good:T
He's then been asked to go to toscos in his lunch hour to look for the CS selection boxes, obviously whilst getting an up and go at the same time. I bet he wishes I never found you helpful lot a few years ago:rotfl:
Morning all :wave:0 -
Morning mad squad, a while back there was a post explaining how the checkouts at mrT react to coupons - can anyone remember ?
TIAI do try to keep up but sometimes life gets in the way.
I'm just a penny short of a pound. Peace and Love.
I've joined the 5:2 club cos mrT made me eat 1p chocolate.0 -

regarding Waities I have the Fairy washing liquid in my picks and its £7.00 each or 2 for £8.00 at the moment so if you buy 2 you will get them for £5.20 for 2 making it just over 10p a wash. I have a few!! in my cupboard but might stock up my DD and Mum. Can I ask how you got t bags for 43p.
Regarding Up and Go and Hipp how do people get on with internet coupons. I used a few last week of Up and go and it was ok but a bit stressfull0 -
regarding sainsburys tu jumpers - they have some great designs and colours but the material they are made from feels very thin, no warmth and nasty. I think even with very careful usage and washing and depending on how long this winter goes on for you might get one years usage, maybe 2 at best before they really go flat and matted.
I don't know what the answer is to the sweater problem, i suppose you just have to be always looking for good enough ones each year and accept that they might be condemned to the charity bag sooner rather than later.
Marks is no better. I've got a grey one with a big black heart in the middle which i've only had maybe 1 winters use out of but its lost its shiny newness so its got to go.
The thin ones i wear under pinafores and also as an under- jumper underneath thick woolly ones, also under fleeces as an extra layer, because they are not seen so it does not matter that have gone bobbly.
i am currently wearing a tu wooly jumper which i got last year on the double up and it is ridiculously bobbly, i can't wear it out as its a chunky knit the loose bits that hang off all the time make it now not able to be worn out of the house, but out of protest i will not bin it yet lol suprised its not threadbare under the armpits because great chunks have been removed from there! It is also not that warm lol0 -

I hope the lady gets the help she needs from the authorities.
Oh LEJC.
I'm really pleased you did those things.
It was on my mind last night when I got in my warm, clean bed.
Hope something good comes out of your response.
Keep us up to date. :Acurl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -

Good morning E, cool here and blue skies too. I meant to ask you the other day, how did you get on with the garage doors? Are they fitted yet? X
morning all
looking at SSC on FB this morning i noticed the posting about the free selection boxes. I got mine yesterday and they are all tracking
But looking at the photo though the selection boxes looks completly different contents to my boxes, better content
please can i ask what barcode people have on their boxes and what it said on the receipt? Mine just said Chocolate
I know sometimes the packaging is different for instance the jam sugar looked slightly different but these are different altogether
You're making me worry now, I've just been and got mine and uploaded receipt  I hope I did get the right one. It was £1 and it's 180g. P/c last 4 are 0458 :cool:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
How do you get the prawns for 28p please and thank you

DH bought 3 up and go's said had £2.37 overage. You could do more vouchers but he doesn't want to draw attention;)
Teabags are on offer for £3.50. On my my picks they will be £2.80, so 43p left to pay. An absolute bargain as this is my daily cuppa.
Again the prawns Are 1/3 off atm. On my picks they are then £2.66, so with the overage 28p left to pay (although I've worked it out to be 29p, so may end his text message was wrong, anyway still a bargain) These are going in the freezer ready for Xmas day :T0 -
Just dashing in and out as I'm in a flap, well not a flap but got ds3 calling round with doggies. He's then off to London with some friends about 1pm - 2pm their going to see a band doing a small gig and there's a gathering before hand it seems.
I've got shopping to put away, toe to tape up again, it's throbbing but that may be because I've been to Mr T and Mr A, then to the farm for eggs that dh didn't go for the other day. Where is Mr AJ you might well ask  he's gone walking and calling into Lidl for lots of Brie, Assam tea bags, they are very good indeed. He didn't see my list however so won't be checking the wine section  his phone is here on the table, silly man  :rotfl: :rotfl:There's no place like home

There's no consistency in my opinion. Last week I went to the scan and shop till. I used 8 vouchers before it asked for assistance. This week the first voucher I used needed authorising.
The manned checkouts seems fine, depending who you go to;) weekends is better as there are a lot more young lads on who seem to put anything through, I haven't done more than 6 hipps in one go. DH is putting through 3 u&g in ine transaction in Waities. HTH.0 -

At least you will have peace of mind knowing you are trying to help.
There was a hermit type old man camped in the woods near us a long while back, we spotted him whilst walking the dog. Bitterly cold weather.
I remembered I had a Russian army coat (sheepskin lined) so I carried it (weighed a ton) & left it near his tent.
Bitterly cold here today - I've had to put heating onOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...
