Hope some of you manage to get some cheap curtains there are still some available, link below low to high price if helps, I was bit slow posting as measuring my windows.

I quickly ordered once I had the bedroom and lounge in my basket as the original grey ones posted had gone OOS so I got the oak instead, just went back to try order matching hall one, which I hadn't measured but that size is OOS so glad I got in quick with others.

Maybe I will have curtains downstairs to close before Halloween next year. :rotfl:

Hope it's honoured, not right colour scheme right now but we are hoping to get all the windows replaced next year so will need to decorate anyway.

Shame the matching cushion covers were OOS by the time I tried see someone else managed to nab them on HUKD.

If the do arrive hope I have chosen the right size, me first thing in the morning measuring windows bit of a laugh. :o

    Good morning all...

Not feeling my best this morning,it has been a long weekend and I think I have picked up tweets cold!

I have no energy or enthusiasm to do anything and cant seem to concentrate on anything other than keeping warm and snuggly

I am too well aware that I have at least 1 PM to answer and I dont think it will get done today suffice to say someone is very much in my thoughts and and when I am feeling better I will come back with the reply you deserve xx

I will update my october spend totals....I did venture out yesterday for the meat reductions so was able to buy some lovely meat and fish for £2.60 that will take us through the week and beyond.
I actually have no freezer space left so I really am hoping that going forward into november whilst we will need fresh food the main part of meals will be sorted via the freezer.

I used to love halloween but sadly its become a no go over the past few years...we dont have any small children living around us and in honesty anyone who does come knocking is probably not the sort to appreciate a fun sized mars bar....so we are moving to the back of the house this evening and shutting off all the front lights!
It's a shame really because in the past when all the children were younger there was a great spirit and buzz around the street...but times change and the kids grow.

We are having cod loin (a 40p reduction from £4.00 ) for tea this evening in a tomato sauce with pasta....but OH says he'll cook it when he gets home from work so I am taking that to mean I am banished from the kitchen!!!

Have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever you do this evening...if I drop off the face of the thread over the next few days it's because I'm too bunged up...but I'm with you all in spirit x
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

Thanks TS I went for those, but they went out of stock between putting in bag and checking out. Like you I had to measure!
    Never mind.
  • Just came into the room and mother asked if I had heard of Jack Kahane? I said, "No, why would I?" Silence for a few seconds as she was just about to read out the title of a tv programme. "Oh, it says pornographer, not photographer!"

Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

That's a shame. :( That was what happened to me with the grey ones originally posted, I had 3 for the bedrooms in my basket right size but then stupidly I tried to measure the lounge and get them same time so lost the bedroom ones.

By the time I found the oak, I knew sizes so was bit quick fingered. Fingers crossed I get them.

Will be bit more expense for me though if they do arrive as just realised we don't have eyelet curtain poles. :o Poles could probably do with renewing though have been up nearly 20 years now upstairs. Downstairs there is nothing but bare wall so starting from scratch, think those might be bit long so will be added expense of having those taken up so they don't cover the radiators. But I do actually like the oak ones a lot, it would have been similar to something I would have picked natural colours. :)
