Last day for 25% off Tu clothing, just called in to buy a bra, got distracted and forgot it!
Will have to wait for double up, I suppose free is better than 25% off anyway!

When I had a dog that was terrified at firework time I used to sit with her and put a set of ear muffs on her so the sound was very much reduced. I know it sounds a daft idea but it worked.

She initially wanted to try and get them off but eventually with my close presence and the noise much reduced we had more peaceful and less stressful evenings and she accepted the headgear without question. :)

I believe you can even get them specifically for dogs these days so there must be some credence in it.

You have probably tried it already though as I know you've tried lots of things in the past.

Thank you redfox I have tried headphones I know they not earmuffs but similar.

When DS was here he had a pair similar to these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Headphones-SL-800-Tablets-Laptops-Portable/dp/B00V697NMC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477923422&sr=8-1&keywords=%C2%A0headphones

They didn't work . If she just sat with me panting and shaking instead of trying to escape it would be easier.

Reading over on the banking forum I think HSBC account is one of the more difficult ones to open pity as they have 6pc regular saver. With £1750 to pay in each month probably puts a lot of people of as they think it has to be salary. A lot of people seem to be turned down when they go in for their "interview" that is why I thought I would give this one a miss.

So you could technically pay the same £200 in and out 8 times a month? makes it sound far more appealing. I always worry something will go wrong with large transfers but lots of smaller ones would be very useful.

  • I loved halloween when the kids were little.

The first time we took the boys ToT it was a disaster. One lovely man opened the door and shouted at the boys 'F off you begging B' and then looked up and saw us at the end of the drive.

He was not happy when I challenged him, he threatened to call the police, so I offered to pay for the call. He slammed the door in my face. We went home as the boys were distressed. My friends' husband 'went around to have a word' as I was the calmest I went with him. This time he moved the curtains and went to shout at the expected children, stopping when he saw me and my companion, he answered the door and denied any wrong doing. Which was the worst thing he could do as he was not accusing us of lying. He was very clearly spoken to about how he should talk to children and ladies, and the consequences if he breached this in the future.

The next day, I was talking to the friend on my door step when he walked past, saw us and said he thought we were 'off the estate' justifying his behaviour again.... he was again clearly told that this was not acceptable.... totally bully

We put candles on the window cills, and have had bowls of toys/sweets near the doors for days.. but I do like the idea of a sign as it must be scary for elderly/single people.

You have better get drinking and eating!! 16 meals.... the meals come shrink wrapped.... do you think that they will give you 16 packs for you to put in your freezer? and 4 bottles of wine?? lol x

In schools the children are now taught only to knock at doors displaying pumpkins. Very sensible but not always stuck to.

Search on Debs curtains for lowest to highest price for others RTC.

Just managed to order some that there was not a link for yet on HUKD.

If you search for 'curtains' then sort low to high there are some for about £3 but oddly I couldn't see what size they were. I got very excited about all this (thinking Nectar!) but there is a delivery/click&collect charge, isn't there?

The £3.30 is for the tiebacks, I think all the cheap curtains have gone now.
