I hope we get some trick or treaters this year. I don't think we got a single caller last year:o. I've got a big tin of out of date 10p sweets to give away. If they all go they can have sachets of Ready Brek:rotfl::rotfl:

I was so sure they would start tonight that I made some mini muffins. A couple of years ago I gave out some I happened to have left over from when visitors came but last year they got sweets. I was really chuffed that two girls said how much they had enjoyed the muffins. So it'll be muffins this year.

Wow. Uploaded receipt to gj and it paid in about 15 seconds. I was still uploading the next receipt to cs

I'm impressed with them too. The app crashed on Mum's phone (my old iphone and the receipts was stuck on uploading for almost 48 hours. When it suddenly uploaded it lost my free £2 pumpkin and the free £3 cake. They emailed to say they had spotted that I'd bought them and though the offer was over, they were giving me cashback anyway. And they re-posted the offers, though they do expire today rather than tomorrow. If S had been closer, I would have gone back and got more cake... I also got the olives as we love them and 35p a jar (after cashback) seemed a good deal. I'm looking forward to seeing what new offers happen for November.

For the small sh*p, I am sure the card has to be pre-registered on the site.

    What site please, Sunshinemummy?

Someone was asking about the Costco card. These are the benefits:
    • Pays 3% cashback rewards on virtually all your restaurant dining (no maximum)
    • Pays 2% cashback rewards on nearly all your travel bookings (no maximum)
    • Pays 1% cashback rewards at Costco and almost everywhere else (maximum £300 cashback rewards in 12 months)
    • Each year you’ll be sent a paper voucher for the value of cashback rewards you have earned, which can be redeemed for goods, services or cash
    • If you are a Costco Executive member the 1% cashback rewards from your TrueEarnings card is in addition to your current rate from Costco
    • If you are a Primary Costco member you can earn cashback rewards even faster with complimentary Supplementary Cards for family members or friends, as long as they are also Costco members and adults living in the UK
I don't do Avios because I'm usually not flexible when I travel and have a sense that they are better if you are going from London, so the Costco card was better for me. (Mind you, if I had known I was going to need a new laptop, I might have got the one which gives you 5% for the first month (or is it 3 months?).

    Thanks everyone for kind words.

Finally managed to get to sleep last night only to dream I was in a car and woke with a start just as it crashed into another car:eek:

DD1 is all over the place. At first when she saw the car she thought he was dead. Then it seemed like he was OK apart from bruising. Then discovered the broken vertebrae on arrival at hospital.

The hospital were going to transfer him for an operation last night but for some reason delayed. But because there was the possibility he can't have anything to eat or drink. And he's strapped up to prevent him moving so can't even wee in a bottle unaided!

DD1 and his mother are at the hospital with him. I just hope they operate soon.

Any news on this please? I was so sorry to hear about this.

But I'm going to bed now. I seem to have been on the go all day, so goodnight all.
  • Keep meaning to say, I have a sim only deal with o2 and use o2 Travel which for Europe is £1.99 per day for unlimited data. When we were in Spain a couple of weeks ago we had a day in Gibraltar; when we got to the top of the rock to see the Barbary apes and looked across the sea we could see Morocco. As we were driving to the top of the rock I received this text message from o2. I immediately turned off my data on my phone.

Yesterday i checked my online bill and noticed I'd been billed for data being used in Morocco . Phoned o2 earlier and explained that we hadn't actually visited Morocco but were in Gibraltar. They said that one of their masts is very close to Morocco but as a gesture of goodwill they would take off the charge.

Just to others really, to be aware.
