Thankyou, I am thinking it will be too hot and dont want the risk, but OH has other ideas.

It is hotter than the temperature if you know what I mean. If you don't like the heat then don't go. It was the hottest we have been, and we have been to some hot places.

A long overdue update on my little Millie ❤️

After her first three seizures, one a week for 3 weeks, initial blood tests showed a liver function result of 356 when normal range goes up to 212. A Fasting Blood Test was done the next morning, followed by a fatty me and further blood test after 2 hours. This was a Bile Acid Stimulation Test and although liver function still a high figure 'post prandial bile acid at this level are not suggestive of significant hepatic functional impairment'. So no liver failure, tumour, etc which was great news but as reading were high, my lovely vet put her on 2 sachets of Samylin liver supplement powders daily

Millie was in boarding for a week after that, though she was in the owners house most of the time, and slept in their kitchen. She was fine while in there but the day I picked them up, last Tuesday, I was discussing her while paying, when Mills went quiet and we turned round to find her having another seizure. She was flat out on her side, legs rigidly sticking straight out. I massaged her neck area but didn't disturb her otherwise and then she raised her head, and slowly came round and was fine. I was actually relived that someone else had seen one of her seizures

I was back at vets last Friday evening for follow up appointment and updated vet with her latest seizure. Vet Alice prescribed a newer sort of Epilepsy medication which should not affect liver function, Pexion. As they would have to order it in, and it would be cheaper for me online, she did a prescription for the meds plus gave me more of the Samylin. I've ordered her new meds which will be here tomorrow so we'll have to see how she goes with them

But on Monday morning, I was lying in bed listening to radio and there was a knock on the door so bark, bark, bark excited Berry and Millie as I got up and went to open door. As I was closing the hall gate before opening the door, Millie had another seizure. It is like slow motion, she collapsed onto her side, legs and body go rigid, legs stiffen, back legs stiffen up against her tummy like the first time I saw her do this, then her head which she had kept up, flops over to the floor and she is totally out of it. This time was different however, as while she was out of it, she let out one long moaning wail, horrendous to hear as it made it so much worse for me. I massaged her neck but let her come round by herself, which she did by lifting her head and then you see her eyes clear. But again a difference this time, as when she tried to come round and get up, her body didn't response, just her head and neck, so she flipped over to her other side and lay like that for a few seconds before getting up and trotting across the floor to lick her empty food bowl lol. I fed them straight away so she could have her morning Cardisure tablet for her heart murmur

Her new medication arrived on Tuesday, so she has started them now :)

The main thing about the seizures, which I am documenting, is that they happen when she is very excited (she is a Yorkie cross so if have a hard job stopping that), they are over within 60-80 seconds, she is fine after them, she does not know she has had a seizure, plus she is 12 year old with a mixed history having been with me for going on 2 years), she has definitely 'slowed down' (I can even get up from my chair or out of bed without her jumping up saying 'what's happening, where are we going, is it time for food'), she lies on her side and sleeps without disturbance (very rarely does she curl up to sleep now), she seems to have less energy, strength or coordination as can't jump up onto bed/chairs/my lap as easily, she still LOVES her food and drinks plenty, no digestive problems, is my little darling and I loves her to bits ❤️❤️❤️

Can anyone help with train tickets.

My Son and 6 friends are wanting to travel from Birmingham to Porthmadog, on 12 July until 15 July. They are 16

Can anyone help find me the cheapest train tickets.

    Thanks.

You do have a house in Porthmadog Sarah?

If so your son can get a Cambrian Rail Card (needs proof of postcode on a bill) - costs £5 & is valid from Shrewsbury to Porthmadog - knocking a third off his travel.
But this doesn't help the others :(

    Student rail cards?

do they have young persons railpasses?

    http://www.16-25railcard.co.uk/online10/?utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CMPz2uD4z80CFQPgGwodh1kNAA&gclsrc=aw.ds

    or a 2 together card

    http://www.twotogether-railcard.co.uk/?source=portal

Nearly always cheaper to book 2 singles outwards and return tickets but these are for set specific services

looking on trainline I can see trains that go direct from brum new Street to Portmadog - no changes

    July 15th 8.25 gets in at 12.56 for £14.20
    10.25 is £12.20 - these are using a railcard

coming back on a Friday is always going to be an issue, limited tickets but they seem to be about £14.40.

its Virgin trains so you might do better actually going to a mainline station which is a Virgin station - they tend to open until 7.30 at night - you also don't then get charged any booking fees

so about £29 with a rail card which they have to have with them and it will be checked

    :) Sorry it's not Virgin - it's Arriva

and I can wave at them as they go past my house :D

    Question for you all:

Has anyone been on holiday to Mexico.

OH is looking at a holiday in Riviera Maya for August, but when I google it, it says August can be hurricane season, and it can rain for up to 13 days in August.

I am not sure I want to risk the chance, of rain for 13 days of my 14 day holiday and the chance of a hurricane.

Would you go or not ????

    No I wouldn't lol
