Has anyone been on holiday to Mexico.
OH is looking at a holiday in Riviera Maya for August, but when I google it, it says August can be hurricane season, and it can rain for up to 13 days in August.
I am not sure I want to risk the chance, of rain for 13 days of my 14 day holiday and the chance of a hurricane.
Would you go or not ????

Can anyone help with train tickets.
My Son and 6 friends are wanting to travel from Birmingham to Porthmadog, on 12 July until 15 July. They are 16
Can anyone help find me the cheapest train tickets.
Thanks.0 -
If anyone is thinking of taking out a magazine subscription by direct debit to fulfil conditions for a bank account switch avoid this one
The Oldie
(no don't laugh, it actually has quite a lot to read in it :0 )
I took out a £1 subscription, my bank account switch went through fine, the initial £1 went out and I got my switching incentive - all fine.
I had the letter with my magazine account number and details and the next payment was due out on the 29th so it was marked on the calendar to cancel a few days before.
I actually logged on on 25th but the payment had already gone out on the 20th  Fortunately the account had money in otherwise I would have gone into the illegal overdraft.
so I rang the magazine and cancelled the subscription and the lady noticed payment had already gone through and I said payment was not due until the 29th - not 9 days before.
I also had a thought afterwards and rang the bank and they can cancel the direct debit and repay the money and then claim the money back from the magazine themselves.
I then had a call from the magazine themselves today to say would I put return to sender on the envelope of the cheque they are sending me - cheeky madams
Honestly if your electricity supplier or sky or your council started taking direct debits 9 days before the due date there would be a national uproar“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. We went end July and first week of August. Can't recall having any weather problems, but the chances of a hurricane are really only small at any time. We try to avoid hurricane season where very we go but if it is your only chance to go then I would go. It is VERY hot though, we couldn't even go for a short walk without taking water, and people were passing out when we went to see some ruins because they were dehydrated. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Thanks.
do they have young persons railpasses?

or a 2 together card
http://www.twotogether-railcard.co.uk/?source=portal
Nearly always cheaper to book 2 singles outwards and return tickets but these are for set specific services
looking on trainline I can see trains that go direct from brum new Street to Portmadog - no changes
July 15th 8.25 gets in at 12.56 for £14.20
10.25 is £12.20 - these are using a railcard
coming back on a Friday is always going to be an issue, limited tickets but they seem to be about £14.40.
its Virgin trains so you might do better actually going to a mainline station which is a Virgin station - they tend to open until 7.30 at night - you also don't then get charged any booking fees
so about £29 with a rail card which they have to have with them and it will be checked“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
