Can I ask about cruise/holiday advice please?
Talking to someone today who missed their flight from Manchester to Palma thinking that their flight was 5pm not 5am.
Airline could not get them a flight to the port, so sadly could not go on the cruise.
I asked if they had a refund but sadly they said that they had lost their money £1500!!! (for 1 person)
Thomsons said they cant help as it was his fault, I said I would look into it for him, can anyone help with info please as he was really upset, plus to top it all he had thrown his paperwork away, but has paid by card, not sure which.
tia
Sorry, looks like he may well have lost it.
Unless he can get to another port in time? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Not sure if this has already been posted. This is a steal at this price.

I bought this about 4 years ago when DD1 came home from uni and know I paid quite a bit more when on offer then, you do need to wax it as it is unfinished but it is solid pine except the drawer bottoms. But looks quite good when waxed and is pretty sturdy.
Oh and would be good to store baby clothes in QoC.0 -

No, they tried to get him a flight to a different port when he was at the airport, but failed...
He was so annoyed with himself, I just wondered if insurance would cover him.
Thanks for replying.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -

He needs to try and find a flight to other ports on route. Doubt the airline will be much help at the airport. Consider other airlines and other airports.
We love a challenge. Where does the cruise go next and what part of the country is he based?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Unfortunately, I sincerely doubt it. Unless he can come up with a legitimate reason why he did not make it. Unfortunately you cannot insure against stupidity (sorry to your mate, but that is the nub of it). What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Morrisons Five Bean Mix in Tomato Sauce 405g only 20p @ Morrisons
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/morrisons-five-bean-mix-tomato-sauce-405g-only-20p-morrisons-2472287
D'you know what? I thought that this morning, when I saw a SEL of 50p in my only M today that still had it - and someone was picking up a tin - probably because it said RTC. I thought "they might get a surprise at the till". That's of course if they even noticed it:rotfl:. Thanks for confirming it is, indeed, 20p. I suspected as much, but did not have any evidence that it had changed and I can't scan everything at the till/SS. (I knew WW Spaghetti had gone down to 20p a previous week and thought that 50p, on the Five Beans, might be a "read as 20p" situation:D.)
So, I came back with the wrong price of 50p from M today but thank you, I'll correct it and change it on the list (that's if I already have Five Beans at 50p:eek::eek: on there:rotfl:).
Elsewhere, probably a few changes here and there. It looks like I've got less new from today than I had from Monday. Which is no surprise, really, as much of what was new on Monday is now bedded in on my list - so I had virtually everything already when I went there today. I think I've done a good job last time as I had a lot of D'aucy tins on Monday but noticed that I had everything single one of them that was in my store when I checked again today. All methodically and completely collected last time (as far as they are in my Ms).:T
I was correct that the JS Ale bottle was "more likely than not" £1 as, indeed, it is £1 when checked at the till today. The Iron Maiden Trooper that was removed (potential Avs M) as it appeared to go up to full price is now back at £1. I had my first store with £1 showing, which I didn't really believe as I thought it could be unchanged SEL there (didn't change when the other stores went up) so I checked a further store and didn't believe the £1 there either. But, now I have two stores with £1, I thought it was £1. Just when I thought that was 'settled' - but I still wanted a third opinion - I went to a third store and :(instead of confirming it, it put a spanner in the works by showing full price and mbuy pricing. However - I had to take one to the till - it scanned at £1, so it is, indeed, £1.
I had a store with both the £3 Turkey Leg and the £4.72 Turkey Leg today:j. :rotfl:Not really a jumping around matter - but simply because it is obscure and I like these little obscurities. I'll be changing the £3 Turkey Leg from 1.6Kg to 1600g in accordance with the packaging, in order to be strictly accurate and to follow exactly what it says, and not bothering with the £4.72 version:rotfl:.
It now seems that Wyke Mature Cheddar is being produced in versions at £5/Kg and at £9.18/Kg at the same time. Quite why they have different-priced stock at different stores (and maybe even stock of both at some), I don't know. However, I suspect that it may be something to do with making people, whichever store they are at, to buy at least some of their shopping at full price and not to be able to get all the offer prices at any one store. In short, you need to be checking the price of the stock in your store if you are going to buy it, whilst people generally will, I think, just pick up whatever is there and just pay whatever price it is:rotfl:. And, instead of paying full price on anything, you need to cherry-pick and buy only the stuff that is on offer in your store and resist buying anything that is on full price. Then, if later you happen to be near another store, you can buy whatever is on offer price there and resist anything on full price there:rotfl:.
I have some large onions pack today. The what was long-standing offer on the own label 2L soft drinks has changed from 2 to 90p to 3 for £1.20 - which is now better price per bottle. However, you do need to be watching carefully which ones you buy in A, as there is at least one that, although it really is No Added Sugar, it appears without that description on the APG and then fails to pick up M's price as it thinks the A one isn't No Added Sugar when it is and therefore doesn't compare against M which is really No Added Sugar. As result, if you buy that one out of three, then the M mix and match will not be picked up at all. Fwiw, I have details of all the ones I found in M - however, I carefully collected exact information several months ago and despite doing that and buying exactly, I still had a fail on the APG - I would have been better picking random ones as that would, I feel, have been more likely to have got two that compared to M. Soon, of course, I suspect it will be three - and of course I don't include Lemonade or Cola at all as they are available in cheaper SP/Savers versions at 17p each.
I have a Rockland Car Charger USB To Mini at 50p and I also have an M England Flag Mug at 50p. I may expect that there would be an M Wales Flag Mug at the same price - however of course Wales are still in Euro 2016 so that might not be the case. I have been unable to travel to Wales today and, next Monday, I was due to be travelling in the opposite direction so I won't be able to get to Wales, or to my favourite store in Wales, Wrexham:D very soon. I have therefore not found an M Wales Flag Mug and as I don't have it and have no evidence of it, I won't be able to include it on my list anyway. I will therefore just have the England version on there for now - although if anyone can see a Wales version at 50p (and it may not be) and lets me know that that is the case, I would then add the Wales version, which I suspect exists, to the list.
I'm thinking about whether to add a Walkers 42 pack box at £3 to the list.
I also have a number of products from msm - however I have not seen them as I don't have them in my stores:rotfl:. So, another part-collection from my hopeless stores again:rotfl::rotfl:.
A couple that are not online for M: I have been unable to find M White Baps (24) in any of the limited number of stores that I have been confined to using, for practical reasons, today (I needed to be elsewhere this evening). I nearly lost them the other week. Today, I don't have them in the one store nearby that I was hoping I would. However, I saw them at £2 on Monday, only a couple of days ago, and I think it's most likely they won't have changed from that. They could have done so but I suspect they probably haven't. I also don't have Snaggletooth Cider in any of my stores, so I don't know what price this is now at.0
