May be of interest - 2 hours free parking in Leeds city centre to mark the opening of Victoria Gate (John Lewis), valid until 30/10.

Zippy , I have only just seen this , the apple crumble and the turkish delight have the same barcode ending in 157517
They both scan as limited edition on my msm app,

Fwiw, the same might be true of the NYC "Soup of the Month" which obviously changes but is also called Limited Edition. Must have a look at that next time it comes around - I hadn't thought of that one previously:rotfl:. I'd say the description as Apple Crumble on a.com - and therefore the APG - would mean it would look for Apple Crumble in the description of elsewhere, so would be comparing against Apple Crumble at T rather than TD there anymore. However, it looks like it is comparing against "Limited Edition" on t.com somehow, even though the description today (on the A side of things) is Apple Crumble & Custard. Limited Edition on t.com shows a picture of Apple Crumble, or at least it does today, so maybe the Turkish Delight appearing as Turkish Delight was comparing against Apple Crumble from t.com yesterday:rotfl:. The mystery... However, it's all academic and needn't be bothered with:cool:.

EDIT: Everyone replying to posts not aimed at them:rotfl:. Me now :oreplying to uglybugball directed to zippy not me (why are you butting in Savvy?:o:o:rotfl:) and uglybugball replying to zippy asking bubbs:cool::rotfl:.

EDIT 2: Just looked back at zippy's original wonderings - the actual Apple Crumble will not be a trigger as it's one and the same as Turkish Delight on the BC. It could potentially become a trigger if it disappears from a.com and then the APG at some point (at which point both it and Turkish Delight on same BC will then be an invisible trigger assuming both are still then actually available for purchase from some A), but that seems unlikely at present.

I am still reading around the avois points, and really do not get it.

The cheapest flight in points to bangkok is

19500 Avios with £234.45 taxes, fees and carrier charges

If you shop around you can get the flights for not that around £200 on top of the taxes etc.

    I really do not understand.
The best way to use avios is on a long haul flight in a premium cabin, not an economy one, which is very poor value as you have found. Is there any way you can up the number of avios points you have? Have a look at the Head for Points websites for ideas. We collect most of ours by using Amex for as much as we possibly can. We also churn cards - I have one, refer DH for one, cancel mine. Six months later he refers me for one, cancels his and so on. That way you keep getting sign up bonuses.

No, not new at all - we had Lucky Bags as kids, only costing a few pennies. Kinder eggs and card/sticker packs are also reasonable.

But these toy blind bags are £5-ish a go, seems an awful lot for a child to pay out if they can't see what they're buying, that's all.

Gotcha. I didn't know it was as much as that!

    Night all

Alright, I'm going to go folks - call it a night! Goodnight:wave:.
  • When you say, 'can't see what they're buying' do you mean the bags are empty? or full of some invisible magic things!

The bags are designed to mask the contents, but they do contain a small branded toy.

So for example, Shopkins bags will contain a Shopkins item, but you cannot see specifically which one.

no one voluntarily goes to leeds!

Believe or it not, I do - when I decide to use an M, or Ms, there, but that's just my oddness (I said it!) so should be excluded as unusual:rotfl:. It's like going to somewhere like Wigan I suppose (with no disrespect to people in Wigan). Or somewhere else that is deep in the country, that I can't think of at the moment, and nowhere near the seaside. Or the seaside beach at winter time (brrrr....) - why would you?!? Rhyl in January:eek:.

Or Chesterfield. That was the worst place I went to - there's a crooked spire or something but, you've seen that from the ring road:eek: and it's nothing - the rest was just urban shopping and the bus station, that I could have done at home or found at home. Believe me, the bus station was not interesting, especially not with buses pumping out smelly diesel. There was nothing there - I could have just gone into my own city centre if I wanted the shops. It was different though, when I went to M for that purpose rather than going there, a number of years ago, for leisure/sightseeing purposes (of which they was almost none) - sorry Chesterfield!

Actually Leeds is alright to do shopping in - just not on a busy Saturday (which is peak times on every Saturday, especially starting from about this time of year - I used to avoid the shops entirely for about three months, until I discovered the APG:rotfl:).

:(:(That'll be busy for the rest of time! They opened a new department store near to one of my As and it's been terrible getting in and out of there every since:mad: (on busy times anyway - which is why I avoid Saturday afternoons:rotfl:).
