also Sainsbobs have lots of jeans marked at half price down to £8, several types and lots of sizes so its:D worth having a good look - not worth waiting for the next 25% off sale as there wont be any left :D

a few people reported getting till spits this week for buying clothing - extra nectar points or 8p off fuel or both if you have more than one nectar card

It turns out I have overpaid again:eek:. This time it was on some Gala apples (I did eventually need some more) that, late on Monday night into Tuesday, after visiting M all day, I went to A and bought as SP Apples. At least I suppose it was with a womble. Iceland now has a "7 day offer" on packs at 50p (it can be seen that clearly they don't want that offer price on for too long:rotfl:).

As for pears, I now think Aldi works out better. The 1Kg punnets of Conference Pears in Lidl were 59p in the last couple of weeks, but seem to have disappeared from my Lidl almost as soon as they came. However, I notice that there are packs of pears at Aldi. There are two types - the standard range at 49p, however the Eday Essentials at 39p. I think the Eday Essentials (which are also Conference Pears) are pears of different shapes and sizes - who cares? - and some are longer and thinner and actually seem to be more. I noticed that there were 7 pears in the pack, at 39p, and that I got 7 pears in the punnet at Lidl earlier. I bet those Eday Essentials packs weigh about 1Kg anyway - they did seem to be about that heavy when I picked them up, just from feeling what it felt like - so I suspect Pears should be Eday Essentials at Aldi at 39p. Seem to me to be about 1Kg, are same number of same type of pears that I got anyway before, and seem quite a lot better than Mr A's at 50p (just 600g?) or indeed better than Lidl at 59p.

    EDIT:
    I should just say:
Eday Essentials Pears packs - 39p in Aldi:rotfl:.

Unfortunately I got the apples from A the other night. But, I did some right going there - this is now old - as I found just one womble. They bought eight items and nothing else. And every one of the items they bought is a different item. I just needed every one of them to be on a.com, expecially as there was an expensive Persil item on there that could well be cheaper elsewhere:rotfl:.

And - here we go, so close to being nothing but they bought just about right amount and another £3.42 again:rotfl::rotfl::j.

5 items on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda sainsbury's
    1x Wrigley Extra Peppermint Sugarfree Gum (5PK) £1.65 £1.80
    1x ASDA Organic Semi Skimmed Milk (1PT) £0.58 £0.60
    1x Paxo Golden Breadcrumbs (227G) £1.00 N/A
1x ASDA Chosen by You Flat Scourers (3PK) £1.00 N/A
    1x ASDA Semi Skimmed Milk (4PT) £0.95 £1.00
    1x Persil Small & Mighty Liquid Detergent Non-Bio 60 Washes (2.1LTR) £13.00 £10.00:j
    1x Comfort Creations Fabric Conditioner Bluebell & Bergamot 33 Washes (1.16L) £2.00 £3.00
    1x ASDA Extra Special Mild & Delicate Smoked Salmon (120G) £3.50 N/A
Comparison total (compared products only) £18.18 £16.40:rotfl:
    +£1.78 cheaper:D

The shop only just qualified for the APG and I'm not too bothered by the Comfort conditioner at £2 vs £3 as I could have been so much worse if they had not bought it or any replacement item for it at all. At least the number of items will look more like one of my shops now, although I just could never have spent that much on the Persil:rotfl:. I think this is pretty good, from a womble, from so few items in the first place.

It looks like the Persil is £8 from Ocado. In fact, I think it's quite pricey as doesn't 40 wash go to £5 so that 60 wash should be £5 divided by 40 times 60 = £7.50? However, good on a womble:cool::).

EDIT: 40 wash £5 A and T, so Avs T for hopefully £4.50 should be much cheaper (but it's just a straight comparison against standard half price - so no good at all:rotfl:). I'm glad they bought the 60 wash:rotfl::rotfl:. Nothing like getting 60 washes for £9:eek: (or, even, for them, their actual price paid of £13!) but the APG is far greater for me.

Not sure if it's old news but I've just had a new Orchard invite email.

Good evening Elite. Hope you've had a great day.

I think A will be very happy with that shop, even after the APG is given, as not only are the Paxo breadcrumbs got for full £1 price as they are £1 everywhere else except Sains:

    1x Paxo Golden Breadcrumbs (227G) £1.00 N/A

but also the Comfort conditioner obtained for £2.80 instead of A's £2 shelf price and more of the Persil laundry liquid obtained for a higher price than the £5 version!

So, even if the customer had claimed the APG, which of course they did not, and gained the impression that they had 'saved' (after getting an APG), they would still have ended up obtaining several products for more expensive prices than either different pack sizes or A's own shelf price or of course own label equivalents to the Breadcrumbs.

Indeed, despite the glitches, which only a tiny minority of customers do, us on this thread, and despite fewer shops at A, A are still doing very well indeed and are the more resilient against competitors with more resources than competitors to invest in lower prices.

    Evening Elite friends

Hope they finally get DD2's paperwork sorted TS

Another question about Airport Lounge. I'm told you cannot take food and drink onto plane from outside, can only take what you buy duty free, shops etc. So, when in airport lounge, can you take an extra bottle of soft drink from the lounge onto the plane, and mayne something to eat. Thinking :money: here ;)

Oh and an increase in my October spending figure :o I went to Tosco for Optiwell, NAKD nibbles, and SoBe energy drinks x 2 for CoS - no cider there though - and picked up a few whoopsies so another £1.51 added on to my total
