Random garden update - I've had a message asking to bring landscaper round at weekend. I've agreed to look reasonable, but really wish she just hadn't replied at all so I could have cracked on with a letter before action.

Artificial grass company came round, but like the decking company they just laughed at what had been done and were pretty horrified. Although neither company has given me written quotes yet, going on what they've said its actually going to cost more to put it right than the job cost in the first place. Going to have fun telling her that at the weekend!

Probably not, but you never know, her landscape gardener might see what a mess the subbys have made and condemn the work.

Unfortunately, I don't know what price JS Golden Ale is in M at the moment (and they definitely do have stock of it today). I was hoping to fall back, as a last resort, on msm but as you can see below, that's not possible. I have a store with mbuy SEL in front of it now - but it said the same thing last week and they were definitely £1 last week (hence why I just cannot be scanning and cancelling off the same item week after week) - and, if I look at the mbuy label carefully, as indeed I do, it doesn't even have any specific individual price applying to it but just refers to golden ales of a certain weight range and individual prices of "£1.75-£2". Despite that, last Wednesday the JS Golden Ale was £1. I think it's still more likely than not to be £1 now and I have no idea why they put an mbuy label, that didn't even specify the product, onto the shelf last time - the JS Golden Ale could, however, be on some higher-than-£1 price (which could be £1.75 or could be £1.65 or something else) and mbuy. I think the label that's now up (in my only store now with the product today) does not even apply to the correct product.

Like I said earlier, I have no SELs now on items that have not even changed in price (and don't have a price stated on them) and other SELs that are just plainly wrong (obviously that is to me, and not to any 'normal' consumer who, like the vast majority of shoppers I suspect, just goes to a store without any further information and shops in the most inefficient way possible, using the SELs in order to try to decide what to buy and making, as a result, largely bad purchasing decisions. You certainly cannot rely on the SELs to tell you price per unit of various sizes of a product or equivalent items, when some of the SELs at least are wrong and therefore do not tell you which is best - or you can in fact choose to rely on them but will inevitably make a costly decision by buying what looks to be cheaper price per unit when in fact another item, with an unchanged SEL, has gone down much lower than what the SEL says. Just my two-penn'orth:cool:).
