I am sorry if this has been covered but what is the deal with the M&S meal deals please?

I have a free meal deal voucher from when I signed up for an M&S account otherwise I would normally not notice them as they are normally outside my price range :D.

    Many thanks

I thought this could only be used for the meal deal but mine was a gift card which can be used on anything. I found the meal deal outside my price range and have been spending it gradually on reduced to clear items. HTH

The SP Bran Flakes might drop off their M price next time, if they haven't already done so (sadly only comparable against M) - but maybe I didn't visit my fourth store that still had the comparable weight available last time. However, I'm not too bothered about buying them anymore in A as I managed to pick up some whoopsied 1Kg Bran Flakes in M at 95p (so works out significantly better). Even if :eek:still more expensive than the 64p for 750g price that they were all round several years ago! (But that, now, long gone.)

However, the good news is that, while the SP Bran Flakes may lose an M price (due to M being in the move towards a new pack size), the M Fruit & Fibre has changed in weight in M and has become comparable to A's - indeed is already comparing £1.38 vs £1.25. So, Fruit & Fibre no longer a buy in Aldi at higher weight but better price per unit, instead Avs M for 10% cheaper is now better.

However, it's :(only about 26p APG one pack and, with most worthwhile items being same price at A and M, cheap SP ones, giving virtually no APG themselves - it seems nearly worthless. Especially as I haven't even got 8 worthwhile items and would be spending more than 13p (10% on Fruit & Fibre) to get them and for an APG of so little value. However, that might change:).

I think there's not a great deal of change in M - not as much as I expected anyway - and a few more offers have come on - but things, at least in my Ms, all up in the air at the moment due to conflicting SELs. Indeed, I didn't even become aware of some offers until I reached another store and then, purely by chance, found further offers in a third store. I would really be inclined to wait to see if things settle down on Wednesday - and even then it will be hopeless: I won't get much time as it's busy again then:rotfl:.

However, I'm used to things being "hopeless":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Practical reasons and logistics confine me to my usual stores this week, so I'm not even going to be seeing additional items that I could have done with seeing. I am hoping to start out at a different place on Monday and then go elsewhere (but don't know what I might find and what I'll be missing so wish me luck:rotfl:). I was only picking up everything I could have done with seeing by the sixth store last time I went out - that said, I'm having to use several of my own stores now to try to pick things up (what I could do with seeing is currently scattered between at least four of my stores - usually I find most of my items at three, but not currently - although I have used 'only' three today and just had to leave a couple of things up in the air). Even with my four, I'm missing out on some ranges of items, so just having to make do with the best I can.
